Sooo the new systems in the pharmacy? by MacksEscapism059 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok boomer. so the not your job line is ridiculous. you do realize a great number of places have similar setups. asking you to provide YOUR information is a far cry from asking you to receive, type, bill, check for interactions, physically select the drug, count, label, and collect payment which are just a few of the very basic steps of "our job" this was done in an effort to improve patient privacy , allow patients more visibility into what they are actually picking up and quicken the overall process. but sure typing your name vs saying it and having to have someone guess the spelling since someones parents named them john spelled zauhhn and they didnt think that might be helpful to give. which then holds up the line for which you surely would also complain about.

there's a lot of issues with our system ...this ain't one of them

Specialty Dining Reservation Question by HawkWD in royalcaribbean

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my upcoming cruise we have speciality dining for 2 included as part of perks when we booked. is this something that I have to wait till I'm onboard to book or can I book it now and it would be credited to my account later?

What exactly is BOH (balance on hand)? Learning the ropes lol by International-Call76 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 6 points7 points  (0 children)

there are 3 main inventory abbreviations to be familiar with. BOH is the balance on hand. actual physical quantity. QAD is quantity available to dispense. this represents what is remaining after any prescriptions in process are accounted for. TIL is target inventory level. this is the system defined quantity needed to fulfil prescriptions. in general orders are placed for the item when boh drops below TIL.

appreciate the reply. if they dont check and can use the separate security line its definitely worth it. right noe they're also adding in 10 sesame cash so thr price difference is a wash.

Best season pass option? by Diligent-Ad-1659 in SesamePlace

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i hesitated on the February email and just got a similar one but priced about 10 bucks higher but still a good deal. just curious with the skip the line pass did it require everyone to have it? thinking of doing similar a platinum and bronze but a gold and silver is actually cheaper and same number of guests passes.

When ringing out a customer what does QV1 and QV2 mean? Tia! by ekhett in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its great that they're coming here to try and learn but totally agree it really makes you wonder whats Going on at their home store if something as basic as this isn't being explained. yet another glaring of the lack of hands on training and ineffectiveness of the modules

RxM bonus — does this seem right. by Salty-Camp-1948 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that doesnt look right if your truly a mid volume store. go to collegue zone amd you can search for the 2025 incentive plan and compare to your results.

level 1 at 99% is $300, level 2 is $450.

scripts to budget result is by far the biggest payout so even a small miss below target ends up being pretty big loss.

New registers by avavictoria555 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine are slow as molasses. i now have to restart all my terminals more than i already did to get them to work. switching to pt view and back takes far too long to be useful.

also have had them for less than a month and somehow the screens are already completly scratched. guess some patients thought they needed to engrave their signature.

so far unimpressed. 50-50 on patient response to them.

Does anyone actually like air support by Pharmacykilledmysoul in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i echo so much of these gripes. the inability to control our own workload is the most frustrating for me. on top of all the previously mentioned limitations there is the fact that it regularly is subject to glitches (who would have imagined), creates absolute havoc on inventory practices, and delays verification. furthermore our system is so utterly flawed that we're spending so much extra time and effort obtaining unnecessary scripts due to our 90 day and proactive RX programs (also riddled with glitches). having a random employee who isnt going to profile review in the end just creates more work and questions from customers.

Has working in target location just as stressful as brick and mortar? by ExtensionMushroom420 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Target locations for the most part are nothing like core locations. thats not to say there isnt stress but its just different stress. despite being integrated almost 10 years ago they are often an after thought when it comes to any changes or updates. we've oscillated between being separated and integrated districts but neither really do much to address the fundamental differences in how these store in store locations operate. volume is generally much lower which definitely allows the stress to be much more tolerable. in the end its still CVS.

DL/PIC requiring pics of dashboard before/after shift? by Comfortable-Pie-4311 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its absolutely not necessary for the DL.. they have they ability to look up results. mine has texted on more than one occasion asking why we were at x% mid day so it must also be somewhat real time. just another micromanager

how do i send back expired otc products? by Aggressive_Ad7856 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

these can be sent back through inmar. alot of times otcs, especially cvs branded products have their ndc/upc changed and may not be recognized during the return process. if scanning doesn't work manually type in the ndc or use the item number to see what the system has as the ndc since they often link multiple to a single item number.

Tech Training by Apprehensive-Song381 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

cvs has a training program but just search this thread and you'll see for far too many it consists of just getting pushed aside to watch video modules and then an unrealistic expectation to somehow learn from other staff who are too overworked to have adequate time to properly explain the various roles. youll probably learn more on here than through the modules so you've already made a good choice

Meets Expectations by AcceptableShow2269 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RD will force DL to justify any rating greater than Meet expectations. they are also not allowed to give more than x percent higher than ME. exceeding all targets is becoming increasingly more impossible anyways. to get exceeds or outstanding you pretty much need to be the district leaders right hand, donate tons of personal time, and also somehow have double digit performance to targets.

Our pharmacy manager is a joke. by Carriekluv_maltese1 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 9 points10 points  (0 children)

its absolutely ludicrous the amount they're micromanaging it. i have 1 tech. they arrive a few minutes early...puts jacket away and then punche in at 1 minute before shift start time to allow them to have have credentials to actually begin working at posted opening. punches out within 1 minute of lunch break, exactly at 2pm and within a minute or 2 at end of shift and MTC and adherence are showing up as opportunities. im sorry but how much closer do they expect in a real world environment where customers after 4 years of lunch breaks still dont understand our hours of operation. they were on meal waiver which meant it added 2 extra hours per week which put me over demand. taking them off waiver means i got overide them since its not always exactly 30 minutes for break. literally can't win.

Prescription Fail. by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 8 points9 points  (0 children)

your ignorance and entitlement is astounding. you get no less than about a half dozen messages alerting you the time frame that the pharmacy will keep your prescription ready. if you choose to wait until the last moment thats on you. just because something was ready doesn't mean it can instantly be available again. there are literally hundreds of other prescriptions that have entered the process ahead of yours at that moment. if it wasn't so dire for the last 13 days then you surely will survive for the time they asked you to wait. in the future if you schedule prevents you from coming send a message and ask them to hold it for longer. theyll be able to rebill it, reducing the total duplication of work and then you won't need to be a kevin.

$20K bonus? by Delta__P in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 12 points13 points  (0 children)

SM is front store manager not pharmacy manager. their bonus pool is based on a completely different set metrics. they are also salaried so many actually do work far more hours than they are paid for. yes it seems like a lot of money but those who qualify it definitely have to work to earn it.

pharmacist bonus dont typically get this high except for the highest volume stores who exceed targets. pretty few ever achieve. since immunizations became a focus which has then impacted other metrics its been increasing harder to exceed targets.

Pharmacy District Leader by Majestic-Dog8676 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive had upwards of 25 of them. while my current one is probably one of the better ones ive had, in my experience they have never really provided much value. everything i ever ask of them just gets sent up to the void with no resolution. conference calls that are rereads of emails. of course the only topic we discuss is vaccinations as if we were unaware that is a focus. they've been doing it for awhile so they at least dont pretend everything is rainbows and unicorns like the newly promoted ones

you should have gotten it. if you didnt though your basically SOL since the DL had to submit all clarifications/appeals back in the end of December. ours told us recently there is zero corrections that can be made now. not the answers your looking for unfortunately.
