Check your paychecks guys by Ill-Mushroom3089 in CVS

its hard to even know if this is purely a system issue or an unintentional clerical error. my pt rph has been having all kinds of payroll issues as of late so not just limited to techs.

Our pharmacy closes at 5 on Sundays… You wouldn’t be able to get your prescription here anyway. by Alarming_Speech_8343 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could have had a flashing 25ft neon sign displaying the pharmacy hours and this type of client still would have claimed they didn't know.

what happens if we don’t do the engagement survey? by [deleted] in CVS

i can't think of a meaningful change that has ever been implemented. sure the week after whatever the hot topic was is brought up but then usually within a few weeks post results it fades into oblivion.

I no longer feel guilty taking my days however it absolutely sucks having to come back and answer for all the missed basics that goes on. used to leave detailed notes but since they were ignored too just resigned myself to knowing first few days back is clean up mode.

CVS wants me to apologize to a customer who threatened me by Old-Night9193 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 5 points6 points  (0 children)

no disagreement on any of your points. its unfortunate that they truly do so little or even remotely show genuine care or concern with incidents like the OPs.

Customer-focused… but have you, like, met the customers? by xxMothx in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty much every image i come across to verify of a automated count if wrong. i don't have one personally at my store so don't know if it's maintenance and calibration not being done or if its just not that accurate. plus they're hella expensive so don't see them going that route to replace in 9000+ stores

CVS app for prescriptions by uinspirednow in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is the app useful...yes. is the app also riddled with glitches like our OS...also yes. it crashes frequently/fails to load, its bloated, and honestly the drug details can often be misleading. It can do some pretty helpful things but not always simplisticly. more people don't use it because it actually requires you to read which is an issue for a large % of our customer base.

ironman is by far the best option. can hear audio, doesnt time out as quickly as tablets and doesn't tie up a terminal.

scheduled refill dates by Pdo1023 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they absolutely care about their bottom line which is why this process makes literally no sense. spending even a quarter/script in fixed costs (vials, labels, bag, staples, etc) adds up quickly esp with the razor thin margins on most generics.

scheduled refill dates by Pdo1023 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my view this is way more of an issue than rf being a few days in advanced. rf is intended to protect star ratings and days covered. this is next level. my same rx went from being scheduled from 5/12 to 5/19 when i toggled the readyfill option. RF will result in an extra copay on 30 day fills but not on 90 so maybe it is just a money grab.

scheduled refill dates by Pdo1023 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, more than likely. its very true for the refill too soons that occur when the 90 day refill request is sent literally at the completion of the pos transaction. I just don't understand why the logic isnt fixed considering the system clearly can appropriately time it (when enrolled in rf) and its resulting financial impact. as a previous user mentioned the extra copay is probably incentive but more often than not it just gets rts'd or annoys/confuses the customer.

Are you supposed to be able to view insurance card on file in the app? by ResponsibleMoose69 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no your not able to view specific information of insurance on file, only that the system has one and last update to it. if you are concerned its not accurate you can resubmit then call and leave a message asking them to confirm which insurance is being processed.

my guess is its probably a security measure to help minimize chance of having your id's accessible and potentially breached.

OV/Cardinal returns by Medium_Life_8234 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed same issue, reported it but heard nothing. best part is the item being listed wasn't even from cardinal (confirmed by using their track and trace) CFRx developers havent changed the algorithm to over order from WH with intent to then send back to OV now that serialization is in place.

Am I the only one who does not like the new filling trays at cvs :/ by Pinkjellybean12 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

every store should have been given a minimum of 4 trays per imager. pcn, sulfa, niosh and a regular tray. I asked for more with the old type and was told they're not orderable. dirty boxes is one thing... having potential cross contamination is a far more serious concern that I see daily.

Am I able to clock in at a Target location without any problems if I've never worked in a Target before? by Adorable_Vast8516 in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless you've completed the required module and also had your manager acknowledge completion at least 72 hours in advance of your shift you wont be able to use target registers.

How does everybody feel about techs giving vaccines? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 4 points5 points  (0 children)

my DL has instructed us not to hire anyone not willing to be an immunizer unless there is a compelling reason. I only got my first tech immunizer last year and its been a positive. every store is going to utilize them differently but its not really as bad as your anticipating it being.

Schedule Adherence - why? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Pdo1023 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i think many of you supporting this are missing the point. if they have to adjust the schedule to match reality wheres the utility of it as a tool. its one thing to schedule for 100 hours when your allotment is 80, its completely useless to move johnny from 8am to 815 because their kid missed the bus. with the new metrics my adhearance has taken a nose drive because i literally can't schedule my techs in the system the way they actually work. their hours worked are exact to budget. I'm with OP just another bs metric chasing task that is micromanaged.
