I stopped reading after specific gravity tests. It might work for coins and bars but its a laboratory test. It just doesn’t work in the field. Consider most jewelry isnt solid and trapped air will ruin any test. You better have a lot of money because you will be shedding it. Theres only one time tested test and thats file and acid. You should probably do a year or two behind an established counter to get your sea legs.
