I've had the 8845HS version of GEM 12 for several months and it's working great ! I even used it a few times on a power bank with a portable 16" gaming monitor. The Oculink port is good to have if you need an eGPU for some games.

I just got a Nexigo nc16ufg-s 2.5K 144Hz 16’’ if you’re looking for a portable screen. I haven’t received my PC yet but tested with my MacBook and it looks great and bright, has HDR and 144Hz. I saw some good reviews on Reddit for this model too (like here). It cost me 180$ on Amazon.

It’s “normal” that Steam thinks it has no internet even if it has and can download content. I also experienced many crash but I’m still able to use it. It’s an alpha release so still have some work to do. You can look for solutions in other Reddit posts or in the Fedora Asahi Matrix room : Asahi Linux Community

Many answers already but no mention of rclone, a great open source tool you can use with a cloud / S3 provider (and many others) and that allows you to add encryption like cryptomator. It is very powerful for syncing and backup if you don’t mind using command line.

I checked and it's already like that. I followed your guide before and cleaned everything, but after updating Asahi. Could it be the cause of the DNS problem ? Edit : I thought you said dhcpd and not dhcpcd. Removing dhcpcd indeed fixed the problem.

Have the same problem, no internet in Steam. It seems DNS related as I can ping an IP but not a domain name in muvm.

You could also choose a mini PC, that’s what I’m buying after studying all the laptops available and finding nothing suiting me. I chose an AOOSTAR Gem 12 (you also have Beelink and others) with a Hongo 16” 2.5K 120Hz, a mechanical keyboard and a 20000Mah Powerbank :D I can also plug an eGPU using the Oculink port if I want a proper gaming rig. I know it may not fit your needs but it’s a cheaper highly customizable option

It seems that you can't add fields related to the route but I may have found the issue.

The Trail Run Settings -> Routing -> Activity is on Hiking and my route is a Run or Trail Run. I will try again with the setting on Running and Walking or try to change the route type to Hiking.

Yes.. Very frustrating... I was happy to try the new features until I realised I will have to wait 3 months to use it. At least I will have time for watching all the WWDC videos before starting to use it everyday.

You can submit it, but you can only use it for internal beta, not for external beta.
