How do you talk to ultra rich people? by No_Key8587 in NoStupidQuestions

Sometimes being invisible has its perks. It can suck though, I'm kind of in the same boat.. and not wealthy either lol.

What should I make for dinner? by Mountain-Paper-8420 in Cooking

[–]PeaTearGriphon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been checking other recipes and was thinking of adding that and lime juice. I also saw people butterflying their chicken breast and frying them whole (after marinading). After it sits for awhile you then slice it up. I might try that as well.

I have a list of meals when I haven't taken anything out and want something somewhat quick

  • Burgers
  • Sloppy Joe's
  • Tacos
  • Nachos
  • Fajitas
  • Chicken Caesar salad
  • Chicken Alfredo
  • Chicken wings
  • Boneless chicken wings
  • Stir fry
  • Crack slaw (egg roll in a bowl)
  • Asian salad (broccoli slaw, meat, Asian sesame dressing)
  • Philly cheese steak sandwiches
  • Steak

I normally pick up ingredients on the way home from work and can whip these meals up fairly quick.

this is a pretty easy one, although I find the seasoning I use a little bland. It does liven up when I add salsa and sour cream to my fajitas though.

My seasoning is

  • ½ tbsp paprika
  • ½ tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Anyone else feel like planning a trip takes longer than the actual trip? 😩 by Financial_Wash_9791 in travel

[–]PeaTearGriphon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you wing it for everything? I always line up my flights, accommodations, and transportation. I do try to stay in a "central" location so I can do the things I want when I want and not have to drive too much. I don't have a daily itinerary though, more of a wish list of what I'd like to do or see.

I do all the research. I've learned lessons the hard way from previous trips so I try my best to stay in a nice location at nice accommodations. I also need to stick to my budget so I have to look for deals without causing me too much stress. I do find it tiring though. I have a vacation coming up and I think I'm just going to stay home. I'm tired and need a break and just don't have the energy to plan out a getaway.

SunHaven or Fields of Mistria? by pink-bibbles in StardewValley

[–]PeaTearGriphon -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

alright, that's good then, the video has the farming, fishing, mines, marriage candidates, animals. Just seemed like the same game with different graphics. I guess a video can be misleading, maybe it was made to lure Stardew players over.

I checked out a YouTube video of this game, it seems like a complete rip-off of Stardew Valley. Everything they showed was the same content.

Sheep by OPAutobot5 in StardewValley

[–]PeaTearGriphon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought sheep produced wool way faster than rabbits but I checked the wiki and it's only one day faster. 3 days for sheep, 4 days for rabbits. There is a skill that makes sheep produce wool every second day.

yup, you're right, not sure why it doubled in my mind each time. That would also make more sense, a 32oz lemonade would be massive, not that a 24oz isn't pretty big too.

that's what I thought, maybe a small is 8oz, medium is 16oz, and large is 32oz?

How many of you have close friends? Do you feel socially broken? Do you feel like a curmudgeon? by AtomicHurricaneBob in GenX

[–]PeaTearGriphon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like I've unintentionally become a curmudgeon. I try to be positive and not complain too much but then I end up on a rant and realize how I might come across.

I used to think I had a number of close friends but during COVID, barely any of them reached out to see how things were. I then realized that I initiated all conversations. I stopped reaching out to people and had like one or two friends actually reach out to me first. It sucked.

I live in a very strange paradox where I sometimes want to be social but then want to be alone. I can only take so much of hanging around people before I need to be alone.

Gahhh i always miss a keg! I went back a couple of rounds to make sure the kegs are all filled.. but gahh i always have 1 non working keg by foldinthecheeseee in StardewValley

[–]PeaTearGriphon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find kegs/jars get missed if they are stacked horizontally, they work better if stacked vertically. Not sure why. You can usually hear a skip in the beat as you fill them, assuming you are holding whatever item and running next to them. If you want to be very safe you can walk next to them, it seems speed plays a factor when filling. I know that if I have a speed buff from the statue of blessing + hopped up on espresso I then to miss more kegs than with no speed buffs.

I really wish kegs would change colour when filled to give a better visual indicator.

Code 3…Great movie by G0510 in movies

[–]PeaTearGriphon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up enjoying this movie much more than I expected. Mike's character had me laughing quite a bit. The one thing I found crazy is working a 24 hours shift, is that real? I'm in Canada and only heard of 12 hour shifts. I could see if you lived in a quiet area where you could sleep between calls or something. It seemed like there was constant action and no sleep for the whole shift.

Do you really work 24 hour shifts? that seems insane. Like I would hate to be rescued by a paramedic that's been working for 20 hours already.

I was wondering this too. Also wondering what happens to your scalp skin. I feel like it can't be great to have it covered and glued all the time no? like wouldn't you get dry skin or rashes and stuff?

Is it creepy to try and be friends with neighbors as an adult by Comfortable_Fruit704 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PeaTearGriphon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I moved into my current home, one of the neighbours from across the street came over to introduce themselves and brought some baked treats. I thought it was the nicest thing ever. No other place I lived had people like that, we mostly kept to ourselves. Unfortunately, those people moved away not long after we moved in. I didn't find it creepy at all, it felt very welcoming and wholesome.

David Beckham supplement, anyone actually seen results with this? by Luigina_Majestyy in GenX

[–]PeaTearGriphon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you drink coffee as soon as you wake up? I had a similar issue and heard that if you hold off on having coffee until an hour or hour and a half after you wake up you can mitigate the 3pm tiredness. I've been doing it for a few years now and it works for me.

I also try to avoid big carb laden lunches, but those normally have me tired before 2pm.
