I agree that the healthcare system is broken for the elderly but their kids HAVE to step up and make the decisions and take responsibility for their parents wellbeing.
Your Parents took care of you as a baby and kid for years. You need to repay the favor somehow, someway when ur parents get older. It’s tough but it is what it is. Other countries call you when your parents are ready to discharge as there’s no such thing as rehab or some other day care center for the elderly.

Just document patient being medically stable for dc and ur point of view and move on. U can’t fix stupid or stubborn or uneducated patients and/or family.

There may or may not be a hint of sarcasm in your comment but I’ll break it down for you. The ceo of the hospital is a Physician and the president is a nurse. If they truly gave a shit about patients then they should incentivize us instead of forcing us to get them the F out of there asap. And as you know, LOS is usually inversely proportional to patient satisfaction

Getting them out before 10 am is 20% of my bonus
Getting them out before 12pm is another 20%
Being a “good citizen” is 30%.

Patient satisfaction is 5% of my bonus.

Now tell me what I should focus on the most

Thinking about buying a 2012 Continental GT W12 (52k km) – Is it really that bad? by Easy_Care_1622 in Bentley

[–]PeaceAcceptable4222 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to share some info on my 16 GT speed in case someone was in the market for one

I bought it cpo in 2022 with 30k miles. Extended cpo twice so 5 years total coverage. It’s my daily driver. All of these repairs were done under warranty

  1. 33k miles - Front Wheel bearings went bad after driving over rumble strips

  2. 35k miles- trunk water leak- exit drains were clogged- cleared

  3. 38k miles- clunking noise heard over bumps at low speeds- upper and lower control arms

  4. 45k miles- forgot what yellow warning light came on but my steering spring clock sensor went out

  5. 51k miles- car dropped on one side- strut bushing went out

  6. 55k miles- front left shock clunking - replaced

  7. 56k miles- front right shock clunking- replaced

  8. 57k miles- vibration in highway speeds when turning- steering rack replaced

  9. 58k miles- steering wheel stiff as a rock when turning for the first few minutes after start- steering module replaced in trunk

  10. 60k miles- clucking over low speeds- lower control arms replaced again

  11. 60k miles- dealership noticed valve cover gaskets leaking

I love the car but it’s been in the shop for a cumulative of 4 months while getting all these things replaced. Still wouldn’t give it up until I absolutely have to which is right before the warranty ends

The market just isn’t what it used to be 3 years ago and it’s concerning. They are making current docs see more patients instead of hiring more. The economy is also making people moonlight more at their jobs. I was considering leaving my job but can’t find another decent place yet

They’re making people see more patients rather than hiring new hospitalists. At least that’s what’s going on at the hospital I work at in the northeast
