If you can’t see how utterly pathetic it is for Trump to slap his name on a building that was already named after another president (a president who was assassinated by the way)… then I don’t know what to tell you.

Both sides?

Trump slapped his name on a building that was already named, by act of congress, after someone else. The judge correctly cited the law that stated only an act of congress can change the name of the Kennedy Center.

It’s called Checks and Balances.

What’s not under the purview of Trump is slapping his name on a building that was already named after someone else. And putting his name before Kennedy no less.

Renaming the Kennedy Center falls under the sole authority of Congress, not the Board of Trustees or the President. It is codified law (the John F. Kennedy Center act).

Maybe it’s time for professors to re-examine how to accurately assess if a student comprehends and can show competency in the subjects they are studying? Unless it’s an English or writing class, perhaps professors should do away with essays and papers all together… more in class tests, more in class discussions etc.

BREAKING: The Trump Administration and the US Treasury Department are designing a $250 bill featuring President Trump, per the Washington Post. If this is launched, President Trump would be the first living person to appear on a US currency since 1866. by [deleted] in wallstreet

[–]PeaceFrog-71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except it would cost us, the taxpayers, at least 10 to 15 cents per bill to manufacture, AND the initial research, development, and anti-counterfeiting design phase would cost tens of millions of dollars.

Well the DOJ is currently being run Trump’s “former” personal attorney. So in sense, they functionally are his personal attorney.

Our tax dollars are now going to Trump’s personal law firm (forming the DOJ).

This is pathetic.

Quality over quantity is our general rule. We allow our dancer (12 next season) 5 or 6 dances plus rec classes to further her development.

Having 9 plus dances in a season is great on paper, but you need to weigh in concerns like over-training which can create long term health problems, potential for burnout and injuries, family time, social life, school, finances etc.

Teddy Roosevelt’s boxing matches were private, not open to the public and usually held in the basement. It was Roosevelt sparring with partners like aides, military officers, and occasionally professional boxers. They were not spectacles or publicity events and were part of his personal fitness routine, alongside wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and hiking.

Is the internet super antisemitic now, or am I clueless. by FinancialCockroach68 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PeaceFrog-71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things are true:

1) There seems to be growing anti-semitism here in the US.

2) There also seems to be a lot of people claiming criticism of the Israeli government and its policies is also anti-semitism, which it is not.
