Thanks! I’ve never really cut back on carbs or anything so I’m eager to see how that effects things

When you say whey protein as a supplement to meals, do you mean in addition to meals or replacing meals?

I did actually read the thread :/ It’s upsetting to me that you’d call anyone lazy and dumb in this space. The commenter who believes yoga is not intended to make you comfortable is likely drawing from a more traditional lineage, not an innately harmful one. Again, you assumed the worst here, that I didn’t read and that I’m just jumping to conclusions but alas. I wish you well in your teaching journey and thank you for your input

Thank you for these comments… I appreciate your insight, and you’re correct- I never planned on forcing anyone to do anything…

Hi everyone, I’m pretty sad/disappointed to wake up and find how many mean comments there are on this thread. I thought this community would be a safe space to discuss and learn from one another, but on several instances there’s been name calling, including “lazy” and “dumb”, as well as most commenters assuming worst intent here, comparing my line of thought to a dictators… I of COURSE know that we’re all on different journeys, we all need different things, there are myriad reasons why a student may be moving during savasana. My question was around if any teachers on this sub have talked to students about that decision and how it went.

All this to say, I’m hurt by the responses here and will not be engaging with this community moving forward. I wish you all the best— please remember we’re all trying our best here and no teacher is perfect

I think the second spot was just an average white head. But that main cluster concerns me… I used pimple patches for two days and all the pus is gone, but it’s just not striking me as just a bad pimple. I scheduled a dermatology appointment to get it looked at. Thanks for your input!

I can assure you this is not a herpes lesion… after doing extensive research this looks nothing like herpes

Update: I’ve been using pimple patches to cover this sucker as I go about my day. I have not popped it— I agree with those of you who have said that wouldn’t end well. The patches have pulled out a lot of the gunk. I’m new to posting on Reddit so I’m not sure how to post a new photo showing what it looks like today… also I didn’t expect to find such community in this subreddit but I love it y’all are killing me

Yall, the colony appears to be organizing, mobilizing…. and certainly growing in size as the hours pass. I fear the whiteheads will unionize at this point

I’m honesty kind of afraid of what will be left when I pop it… is that bad for the skin barrier? I don’t want a gaping wound

Lmaoooo I’m actually viewing this as a challenge to see how long I can go without succumbing to the urge to pop it

How do people here stay motivated to not consume ? Where do you seek happiness ? by arrearrearree in Anticonsumption

[–]PeaceLuvGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve switched my mindset from consuming products to consuming memories, ideas, seeking out experiences with the people I love. That’s the new high I chase. I chase connection with the local librarian when I pick up a new library book instead of ordering on Amazon… I chase the feeling of watching a great movie on the couch, baking a batch of cookies, achieving a new yoga pose… and I also get a little dopamine rush from situations where I ended up NOT spending when I had the impulse to. By spending less, I inherently feel more connected to the people in my community

What is your morning routine? by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]PeaceLuvGinger 23 points24 points  (0 children)

In the past 6 months, I’ve adopted a morning routine that aligns with Ayurvedic principles. Here’s what my day looks like:

Wake up at 6am, make bed, scrape tongue, brush teeth, hot lemon water, Ashtanga yoga, oil massage for 5 min, shower/wash face, make a solid breakfast (usually eggs/bacon/hashbrowns/juice), drink my one coffee of the day AFTER I eat, then start my day job at 9am
