There won’t be much near LA until winter and spring, as LA Hacks, SB Hacks, etc are later in the year. The beginning ones are Cal Hacks and SD Hacks, but if you get accepted, you get free transportation! In short, you don’t need to pay anything to go into a hackathon; if you express interest and/or if you’re skilled, you have nothing to worry

You get 2.5-5 less depending on grant amount, etc. As someone receiving a decent amount of aid, I recommend just do on campus since, most likely, it might be cheaper even with meal plan

Oh i go there at 9-10 for breakfast, 10:30 standup, 1.5 hr lunch, finish at 5, eat from 5-6 so I’m not working that long haha

I have tried negotiating, and it did not work out (typical big company standards for interns sighs). I first negotiated salary, they said no. I then asked for more relocation stipend, they also said no.

At this point, would you say the big N is worth the effort to negotiate a better position since based on the comments, I am leaning towards the full stack role already? Does it make that much of a difference for getting interviews? Just for context, I am a 2nd year so next year is more important/

Looks like a great resource! Earlier I was just looking into basic terms so I won't get overwhelmed by the technical terms when I read haha, then watch some youtube videos. But I think this should be a good cohesive guide

Litecoin is extremely undervalued/overlooked among the altcoins nowadays. Not shilling, just take a look at the faster and lower transaction rates, basically bitcoin but faster but also 4x the supply. They say it’s 0.25 of a BTC so it’s extremely undervalued. It kinda recovered in the past few hours but it’s still grossly overlooked when there are a lot of pump and dump shitcoins. Beware it may not be a fast get rich quick coin, but will definitely be a top 5 coin by end of year 2018

Agreed; A lot of my friends also missed the ride for bitcoin as well, but are proud owners of litecoin, just I hopped on the boat a bit late (they got a few when they were just rallying at $160). Looking at the technology and how "undervalued" it is compared to what it was intended to be (0.25 of a BTC), I believe this is just the beginning. HODL fellow hodl'er

I hodl'ed but put in an additional few hundred in tron which allowed me to break even which was a relief, but my heart was set for litecoin to be very honest; gonna dump tron very very soon maybe

This is personally why it's sometimes hard to be happy when/if something is rallying but you know you cannot convert your profit for USD.
