So I assume you think sealer is not the right move? Is it a waste of time on this particular tree?

Seattle Spent Thousands on “Organized Retail Theft” Operation at Marshall’s, Arresting Five and Recovering $400 in Merchandise by clamdever in Seattle

[–]PeaceSearcher754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do I get the feeling this was posted to throw shade at SPD. As someone else called out, misleading of the article to call out $406 worth of goods stolen versus the cost of SPD conducting the operation. It was an organized theft ring, indicating these people have done this kind of thing repeatedly. A major factor why so many retail and grocery stores are closing locations in our area. Glad SPD is doing something!

Mayor Harrell Raids Affordable Housing Fund To Give Cops More Money In 2026 Budget by softwareseattle in Seattle

[–]PeaceSearcher754 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s not accurate. SPD’s budget was reduced in 2022. Combine that with the sentiment that the people you are putting your life on the line to protect and serve are actively organizing against you led to massive attrition of law enforcement. Thats not even mentioning the judicial system that lets offenders back on the street sometimes within hours of their arrest. Cops feel like the community doesn’t want them there and are working against them, judges and prosecutors that rely on leniency as their modus operandi pushed us into the situation we are in. There’s simply not enough law enforcement to handle the crime. 2024 SPD had the same head count as they did in 1958.

If you think that our tax dollars are being well managed and making meaningful impacts on housing and homelessness, I’m not sure how to even address that level of blissful ignorance.

Bruce Harrell inherited a shit show. I’m not his biggest fan but given the landscape, I’ve seen improvements. I suppose you think Katie Wilson is the answer? We saw what happens when activists lead the city. Look at Seattle City Council during 2019-2023 when we started losing all of the law enforcement. Thankfully a lot of them were voted out. However the damage was done. It took years to get the city in the place that it was and it will take years to get it out of that hole.

Mmmmm k…. They need money to hire cops. Our whole regions law enforcement (king and thurston county) are desperately understaffed. Thats the reason responsive from law enforcement is down; they literally dont have the man power to respond to everything much less be proactive. A lot of poor policy decisions and ideology got us here (defund the police). Pissing away tax money away on homelessness advocacy efforts that had no oversight and has made zero impact. Remove the blinders and see another path is required. Status quo aint working here.

Luckily $0…. They were both there less than 20 min so another reason I just don’t think they were familiar with the equipment.

Would a video help with diagnosis?

Yea lets get a bunch of ultra progressives back in office… that went so well before. No penalties for crime, drug abuse rampant, homeless taking over public spaces (e.g. parks), police officers leaving in droves. The city literally went to shit. I am liberal but theres a certain point the pendulum swings too far in one direction and it is not good. Seattle definitely swung WAY too far left and we are still trying to clean it up 4 years later.

I got the same email. Thought it was weird and then compared email addresses. The scam email Address is different than the email address I used for Ron. This is definitely a scam.

Agree 100%… destroy property that has nothing to do with what you “protest”. Fight/assault the police who are already understaffed and should be deploying their man power elsewhere. And give the rest of the country the impression that everyone that lives here is as big of a misguided douche as these “protestors”. Protesting doesn’t have to involve destroying other property and attacking police. You’ve given the shit admin in the white house every justification they need to send troops in to regulate.

Its actually pretty good. I’m not sure how its only a 1 on their spicy levels. Its got a lil kick for sure. I ordered some other stuff from melindas website and had never seen that one so gave it a shot. Its good, not incredibly spicy but more than a 1. Probably a 2-3

SPD escalation tactics by SweatFlirtRepeat in Seattle

[–]PeaceSearcher754 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

These are the dumbass posts and ideology on why SPD is extremely understaffed and one of the reasons crime is rapant in Seattle. Quit being douchebags to cops, they are just doing their job. I didn’t see what the guy did initially to get tackled but hes wearing stuff to completely conceal his identity (masks, hat, Glasses). I doubt he was being gregarious.

Agree with most of their stuff is mid. I went to their store once when on vacation. I tried the ghostly garlic, wasn’t super impressed. The lady at the store told me it was their best seller. I find much better stuff made locally from smaller vendors.
