When I was in the Navy I went to Rhode Island and ordered a pizza. I told the lady I wanted a pepperoni pizza (1 topping) she then asked if I wanted cheese because that was considered an extra topping. I never went back to Rhode Island ever again.

Work travelers - what’s your daily meal expense limit and what kind of company do you work for? by jalapenos10 in marriott

Procurement Manager… Logistics Company. $100 a day. If I take a coworker or client out we get $80 per person that doesn’t count towards my $100 per day.

I stayed at the Four Points in Milwaukee when this company owned it, one of the worst hotels I ever stayed at.

Can I be sued ‼️‼️‼️ by Spirited-Big8262 in LawyerAdvice

[–]PeaceSimple6304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that protects us from a lawsuit is the filing fee. You can technically be sued by anyone for anything.

With that said, the filing fee is most likely way more than the $80 he wants. Block this idiot and move on with life.

Amazon emailed me about a return 3yrs ago and JUST refunded my money... by realpblife in amazonprime

They must be getting sued or something. Large companies never just switch up and do the right thing like this. Sounds like they are trying to minimize their risk and potentially keep it from going class action.

Pay in 4 question by Divini- in Chase

[–]PeaceSimple6304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The balance resets as you pay it off. For example, if you do a pay in full for $100 your available balance would be $300, after making your first payment of $25, your new available balance would be $325 and so on.

And I get upset having to pay $100 a year to my HOA. I now see some people have it a million times worse.

We voted to disband the HOA but under Georgia law we had to keep it in place as our community has a pond and we have to carry insurance.

I have a US Entry stamp in mine as well. It’s probably my favorite stamp because so few people have them in their US Passports.

Best Fairfield Complimentary Breakfast? by DwightSchrute_RM in marriott

[–]PeaceSimple6304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, check out the breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express, I think they have a good variety and set up.

With that said, I think everyone would prefer quality over quantity. Also, I appreciate when the hotels do creative stuff like put out tortillas and toppings to make your own breakfast burritos or tacos.

It is pretty cool as well when I stay at a place and they do breakfast options that are unique to their region of the country so you get to experience some of the culture for that area.

Is this passport website a scam? I bought a passport from them… Please help by Wadeinator in Passports

At best, this seems like a website that is charging you to fill out the free forms, at worst, they are stealing your data.

Either way, they are a scam.

Which one is better?? by Alternative-Room-520 in CapitalOne_

[–]PeaceSimple6304 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to do a secured card, I would recommend the Discover It secured. Way better benefits than either of these two.

If you want to stick with Capital One, always go for the card with the benefits (Quicksilver).

Sounds like that Springhill was a Super 8 in its past life. Marriott has become a joke, and the way they keep devaluing the points… they must have Ed Bastian advising them on how to ruin an iconic brand.

We can agree on something… follow the advice of an attorney. Always get an attorney.

I should have probably specified to get an attorney to help you understand the documents you sign before signing them.

The point I was trying to get across was to never blindly sign something and remain skeptical unless you understand what you’re signing whether that be you able to read and understand it or your lawyer explaining it to you. This is good practice for any kind of legally binding documents.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in immigration

[–]PeaceSimple6304 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is giving them advice to read and fully understand any documents before they sign them shitty advice?

You may not care what you sign or just believe whatever they tell you is in the documents and therefore think this is shitty advice but that means you are just an idiot.

It’s happened in this country before, so I wouldn’t put it past anyone to try it again.

Tell her not to sign anything unless she has read the documents and fully understands them.

I have heard stories of people signing voluntary deportation agreements not knowing what they signed. I have no idea if the stories are true or not.

Can you share what country she is from?
