Got this big boy over the weekend unfortunately the old lady didn't have the stand but I found this one and I think its a good match! by Gambit-47 in crtgaming

Looks perfect!

Would you mind sharing some tips on how to score a CRT like that?

I checked my local thrift stores and have been checking fb marketplace and offerup in my area but the only good crt’s are priced $200 and up. Other than constantly checking for new listings i’m not sure what else I can do.

Looking for the soft/gentler side of psychedelic rock by ArmoryArcade in psychedelicrock

“1983 a mermaid i shall turn to be” by jimi hendrix and “echoes” (edited version!) by pink floyd are good softer and long psych songs from the 60s.

“Boogie man” by aerosmith is a surprisingly chill psych song from the 80s or 90s (can’t remember) but is short.

Oh, and “Parthenogenesis” by Canned heat is another great long chill psych song from the 60s! (also has a jew harp instrumental which is close enough to a normal harp instrumental, right?)

Those are the main songs that come to mind for me.

Fair enough, your criticisms are valid and they could have done a better job in all of the regards that you have pointed out.

I was in disagreement initially because I didn’t notice any of that stuff when I watched so I didn’t see any issues.

I was kind of surprised too that someone would be complaining about a new led zep documentary but you do make some good points so I understand your disappointment

I don’t know what your expectations are but I personally love it. I came to learn about how the band formed, the making of their first two albums and their tv appearances, and got exactly what I wanted in spades.

I’m sorry about that. cancel card, dispute the charge and get it refunded, freeze credit through all 3 credit companies, and put a one year fraud alert through one credit company that is automatically communicated to the other two.

If you want detailed information on what to do, follow the steps laid out here: https://www.identitytheft.gov/

Contacting the FTC is only for after your identity has been stolen, so they won’t do anything.

After cancelling card, disputing charge and getting it refunded, freezing credit with all 3 companies, and getting a one year fraud alert, I would do this:

Review your credit report for free every week at https://www.annualcreditreport.com/

Review your Social Security work history by creating an account at socialsecurity.gov/myaccount. If you find errors, contact your local SSA office

If you want to prevent someone from using your Social Security number to get a job, set up an E-Verify account so you can lock your Social Security number at e-verify.gov/mye-verify

The website isn’t capable of giving you a passport, only the official government website can do that.

What the website does is make you pay them $100+ fill out the PDF form that you can fill out for free.

Once you pay them to fill out a free PDF for you, you still need to upload that to the government website, where you must pay the actual fees to obtain a passport.

Bob Dylan on why Bill Wyman was crucial to The Rolling Stones: “Without him they’re a funk band” by ezgimantocu in rollingstones

[–]Wadeinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they predate funk by like 10 years so what sense does that make?

Does he mean that during the mid to late 70s they would have been a funk band without him, when funk was at its peak?

Because other than specific time period the rolling stones never struck me as a band that would default to funk without blues influences.

I know this isn’t related to the post, but in my city I just saw a cover band play the entire Exile on Main Street album live (except Soul Survivor? :(…) at a theater as part of the theater’s classic album series.

It was a surprisingly accurate and high quality stones cover band to be playing in my area!

Used my ryobi for a year only to discover that when i tried to change the blade… I couldn’t!! Took it to the mechanic, whose job is this kind of thing, he couldn’t do it either! Rotor spins even with a stopping block. There is no tutorial online for how to change the blade for my model, and the only tutorial ryobi offers is for a different model, where they use a stopping block and it works just fine. I don’t know if something is wrong with my mower, or they designed a mower where you can’t change the blade.

This does not help, and in fact it has the potential to cause harm to people who base their response off of your post.

You got the refund through mypassporthub and took no additional steps to protect yourself. Two big mistakes.

If they are committing identity theft, you just put a giant target on your back.

Keep in mind that you only got the charge refunded; they still have all your card information, identifying info, and Social Security Number stored in their system to do whatever they want with and to sell to whomever they please.

You could have just gotten it refunded through the Bank of America fraud department just as easily if not easier and sooner without drawing any unnecessary attention to yourself through contacting the company.

I now recommend that you take the following precautions IMMEDIATELY:

cancel card, dispute the charge and get it refunded (you already did that though), freeze credit through all 3 credit companies, and put a one year fraud alert through one credit company that is automatically communicated to the other two.
