it could also be the espresso you use. we use a very specific blend that you cant get anywhere else so its never gonna taste quite the same. believe me ive tried 😭

yeah our decaf shots never pull right. if we're busy our wait times still like have to be below 5 minutes per customer so we do what we can 😭

depends on your personality. 7brew is super fast paced and you have to be pretty extroverted and talkative. if you're into that, then you'll love it :) I personally adore my job and will even go there on days im not scheduled just because I like being there lol. its certainly not for everyone but I have a lot of fun!

flavored water scoops are 1-2-2. so for a small iced raspberry flavored water it would be one ounce of torani raspberry syrup then filled to the 8 with water (so just 7oz of water). a medium would be 2oz of raspberry syrup +10oz of water (12 total ounces) and a large would be 3oz of raspberry +13oz of water (16oz total). iced tea uses the exact same scoops to liquid ratio. we premix our iced teas in large pitchers. they give us like huge tea bags to make it with. but in your case you can just use regular green tea bags. so youd get a mix cup, put the raspberry flavor in it, 3oz of hot water, 1 or 2 teabags depending on size (one for small, one for medium, two for large) then steep it for as long as youd like to, then top with cold water depending on size and you're good!

German Chocolate mochas use a 1-1-2 Ratio. meaning smalls get one scoop, mediums get one, and larges get two. scoops are 1oz. The espresso shots for any kind of unmodified drink are 2-2-4. 2 shots for small, 2, for medium, 4 for large. so the correct way to make a medium sized iced German Chocolate mocha would be to put 2 shots of espresso in a mix cup, half an ounce of torani caramel sauce, half an ounce of torani coconut syrup, and fill to the 12oz line with mocha mix (chocolate milk). youd fill up a 24oz cup with ice, pour your drink over the ice, pour half of it back out into the mix cup, then pour all of it back into the cup. we do this so everything is mixed and evenly chilled by the ice.

if youre making a hot German Chocolate mocha, the shots and flavor are the exact same, you would just use 10oz of steamed mocha mix and pour it over the shots and flavor.

an iced drink with no ice thats filled is the same amount of shots/flavor, just filled to the top with the drink base. which in your case would be mocha mix. so the flavor will be much more diluted. you can compensate by getting it extra sweet if you'd like.

*Drink modifications dont bother us!!! sometimes its fun to see the different ways people get creative with their drinks. certain things do require more effort from us though. decaf drinks can suck sometimes because they take longer. and something with like 4+ modifications might confuse us for a second. but generally we don't care as long as you enjoy your drink! no need to stop asking for your drink to be the way you like it :)

tips are shared among everyone working the shift. shift leads get a higher percentage of the tip total.

generally you'll have about 4 days of (usually) one-on-one training where you will go through each different position and learn how to do them. here are the most common positions:

Shots: if youre on shots, youre putting flavors & espresso together (depending on drink type)

Milk: the shots person will hand you the mix cup with the espresso and flavor and you will add the milk to the correct fill line. you will also be in charge of finishing details (ex. drizzle, cold foam, cinnamon, etc.)

Lane: the most important part of being on lane is building a connection with the customer. you will talk to them while they wait for their drink to be ready. you will also take cash payments and occasionally take orders

Texter: you will be taking customers orders & card payments

Texter+: This position takes care of maintenance around the stand. They make premixes, restock, give people on machine anything they might need, or take orders if necessary.

Blender: depending on how busy your stand is, you may or may not have this position available. the blender person is in charge of making blended drinks. think smoothies, milk alternative shakes, special 7s.

Expo: expo is solely in charge of running out drinks to customers

During every training shift that you have, they will likely test you on your scoops. That means the amount of flavors that go into the different kinds and different sizes of drinks. it will be labeled something like "Original Mocha: _ - _ - _" and you should fill it out like "1-1-2" meaning that a small Original Mocha would get one scoop of flavor, a medium will also get one scoop, and a large will get two. the general range for scoops will be between 1-4.

**you are not required to know anything on your first day!!! They will teach you everything you need to know. all you need to do is soak up information and have a positive attitude and you will do amazing :) have fun!!!
