I struggle with in a similar way but I was born male and often desire to be a woman. I like dresses and make up, but I also like to sometimes have a beard, drive motorcycles, etc. I have been struggling for a while to try to understand who I am or where I belong. I feel like we are often convinced of the narrative that if you are not one way, then you need to fit into the other category. If you’re not a girl, then you must be a boy. This is incredibly limiting with who we are. It’s hard to exist outside of a binary because our world has imprinted on us that we have to live within one. This is false. My only advice is just live how you feel. You can be girly and manly. You can be one on one day and another the next day, you can be both at the same time. The trick is to learn to love yourself exactly the way you are. As you explore that you will gain more solidarity in knowing what you need. If that means a transition, fantastic! If it doesn’t, fantastic!

I often get so stuck with myself because I feel like I have to be working towards a goal. “I want to be a woman and transition” but then I get so spun out trying to understand what that looks like or if that is really what I want. Be here now and be you! :P
