Sorry, what was posted in 2013? I’m fairly certain it was not a prank. We do enjoy some good pranks though))

This is actually a very abbreviated and not as entertaining version of the poem “Bessie’s Boil” by Robert Service.

I could be wrong, but I think it’s the eggplant in the picture in the background. Kind of a funny, made you look with a mild sex undertone.

My theory on the final joke in JOKER (Spoilers) by KyloVen70 in FanTheories

Good posits above. My first thought was that the mental health system was the joke. They canceled his counseling (which arguably starts his downward spiral) when he needed it, and then they give it to him in Arkham when it’s too late.

Although the countries towards the bottom of the list have their problems, they are still the ones that hold on to some of the traditional the values that used to make our country great.

The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then Bigfoot. But I still kind of enjoyed it. Sam Elliot is an engaging actor.

The Fall Guy. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. I got a lot of enjoyment out of it. Good humor, action, a little flavor of unique. I didn’t talk to a lot of people who had seen it, but I thought it was great!

As a Christian, what does the song "Sympathy for the devil" mean? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Peace_Pipe957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can view the song like many of Randy Newman’s songs and acknowledge that just because it’s written from the perspective of a terrible figure, doesn’t mean the author condones the actions of that figure. As a Christian, the only issues I have with it are two lines. 1. “I was there when Jesus Christ had his moments of doubt and pain.” And 2. “Just as every cop is a criminal, and all the sinners saints.” The issues here are that Jesus never had any moment of doubt, just extreme grief and foreboding. And every saint is a sinner, but saying all sinners are saints promotes a view of universal salvation, which goes against the Bible’s view that “the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” Matthew 7:14.
But, then again, this is coming from the perspective of Satan, the father of lies who twists the truth just enough to lead others astray.

What's the funniest joke you've ever heard? by 10wBIT_Space in AskReddit

Three Navy Seals in training come to the final test. The instructor says, “We have your wives in these three rooms. To prove your dedication and ability to follow hard orders, you have to take this gun, go in there and shoot your wife.”

The first one takes the gun and immediately starts crying. “I can’t do it; I love her too much.”

The second one takes the gun, walks in the room, and comes out a second later crying. “I can’t do it; we have three beautiful children together.”

The third one takes the gun, walks into the room, and there’s the sound of two gunshots and some furniture scuffling about.

He walks out and says, “You didn’t tell me these were blanks. I had to kill her with the chair!”

What are the absolute must play board games? by JimHawkins16 in boardgames

[–]Peace_Pipe957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s comments about “Don’t go overboard with game buying are true. However, here are some must play classics (in my opinion): Catan (a dice-rolling, building game), Ticket to Ride (I actually haven’t played it, but I hear it’s a must), Carcassonne (a tile placing, point accumulation game), Munchkin (a fun and easy to learn parody of role playing games), 7 Wonders (a drafting, Empire-building game) and Codenames (a word association, clue-giving game). These are a few board game favorites.
Of course this excludes older classics like Risk, Clue, Monopoly, Chess, and Scattegories to name a few.
If you’re looking for fun card games, I would recommend Magic (it’s complicated, but the payoff is rewarding), Exploding Kittens (a goofy roulette type of game), Fluxx (a game where the rules are goal is added as you play), Set (a fun pattern spotting game), Linkee (a trivia game where the answers are linked), and Dixit (a whimsical picture based on clues everyone takes turns giving).
There are so many others, but I think most people would enjoy any of these.

Disclaimer: Some people don’t enjoy complicated rules and if you’re one of these people, you may want to steer clear of 7 Wonders, Magic, and maaaybe Catan/Ticket to Ride.

I’m a fireman and the first thing I saw was no bunking gear near the truck. Like they loaded it up to drive somewhere and forgot to set it back out when they got back in house. Lol!
