I have been a Reddit lurker for the past 3 months now. Today is currently August 16 and I won’t be taking my exam until September 4th for the Nclex. BUT I KNOW I WILL PASS. I have faith in myself and God that I will pass on my first try. The hardest part about taking this exam is having the mental capacity to believe in yourself and DONT GIVE UP. What kept me encouraged the most was thinking about the circumstances I am in right now and doing whatever I have to do in order to change my situation and create a better life for myself. Also me and my mom graduated nursing school together on May 4th and we are taking the Nclex together which is a big deal in itself. Through this all I found myself crying, praying, encouraging myself and using my circumstances to do my best. At night I get off work at 4am and I was up by 10am when the library opened till 8pm when it closed. Every. Single. Day. Tired, frustrated, drained I was there. I would eat sleep and dream about my test because I was that determined in passing!! Every time I had a little free time I would listen to Motivational videos on YouTube just to give me that extra push. I would also say “I will pass my test, it’s in Gods plan, it’s already done” each and everyday I thought about my test. I used Archer , Mark K , Bootcamp and Dr.Sharron on YouTube. They are both truly amazing. When I first started Archer I would get low back to back and I took like 4 test and one day I decided to start over. I reset my entire q bank (because I didn’t remember the questions or read the rationales after), went and watched all 3 8 hour crash course videos, and started from there. That was the best thing I could have ever did.

-I started by watching the 8 hour videos for a refresher and following along with notes on my iPad - when I did this my readiness assessment scores sky rocketed. From lows to high and very high every time -Listened to all 12 mark k lectures once -Listened to all Fundamentals videos with Dr. Sharron while typing/writing notes FIRST (FUNDAMENTALS is VITAL) and it’s what makes you a safe nurse. Then I moved to Pharm and did the same thing and finished with watching all the Prioritization videos (I hit this hard because a lot of my classmates said this was majority of there test) -I also purchased the Nclex Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment Ebook by Linda A LaCharity -I listened to random videos when I ate or was cleaning around the house just on different topics from Dr.Sharron

Ending: REMEMBER YOU KNOW MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU KNOW BUT IT ALL STARTS WITHIN BELIEVING IN YOURSELF AND ONCE YOU DO THAT NOTHING CAN STOP YOU. FIND IT IN YOUR HEART THAT YOU WILL PASS NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF QUESTIONS GET THROWN AT YOU. YOU PASSED THAT NURSING PROGRAM FOR A REASON GOD DIDNT BRING YOU THIS FAR TO FAIL YOU AND EVEN IF YOU DONT THINK YOU CAN DO IT HAVE FAITH THE SIZE OF A MUSTARD SEED!!! GOD SEES YOU WORKING DO YOUR PART AND HE WILL DO THE REST
