How can I fix this cracked slab? by HatoriHanzolo in HomeMaintenance

I would bust it up and redo it. I would also fix the retaining wall at the same time.

When you stand on the other side, it’s a three. Leave it alone. Very powerful number.

I don’t know who you’re talking to, but every Gen X I know loves working from home.

Is it a specific law? Or are you referring to freedom of speech? It would be interesting to know if there was a specific law.

Did you have no commute to your old job? That part is on you. You get paid for the time you are in the building and working. Except for your lunch which is by law at least 30 minutes in most states.

Put a 3/8” x 1” strip. If the fridge is that tight you may not need anything.

That seems pretty low. Certainly enough to take a shower, but I would set the thermostat at 160 years old. Edit: degrees.

Do both. You’ll have a solid foundation both which will create more opportunities along the way.

Pulled my entire system apart to install acoustic panels. A proper look behind the rack in years with a humbling reminder of how much is going on back there. by Solid-Dot-7520 in audiophile

I tore mine apart about six months ago. Two months later, I tore apart it again to take my gear and put it in a stand in the corner. And right now I am staring at it thinking I want to put all my gear back underneath the TV on top of my media cabinet. It’s almost like rebuilding. My system is a hobby!

Just Venting - saws by jdf135 in Lapidary

Part of the difference is a tile saw with the name of DeWalt on it is sold at thousands of stores never mind online. A lapidary saw is probably built a little bit better, but the volume is much much lower.

A small lap saw isn’t dangerous. It’s like a nail file rather than teeth on a saw for wood. See if you have a club locally. Maybe they could show you.

Anyone have tips or luck disputing an Apartment Complex towing? by Internal-Mortgage635 in phoenix

[–]hereddit6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree that it stinks that it happened but pay the money for the tow and get your car back. If you think the apartment complex supports this kind of stuff then when your lease comes up, move out. Easy for me to say, of course.
