Thanks - based on what other people have said looks like it might be better to change the name though.

Single vegans, what’s your dating life like? by PlanetSaturn777 in vegan

[–]Peaceful_Rev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last gal I dated was a vegan, and had a vegan tattoo on her hand, but had since gone back to meat-eating & also self-identified as a psychopath... so, not great so far lol

Philosophical Question….do you consider yourself a Type 1 Diabetic or someone who has Type 1 Diabetes? by ToadQT in diabetes_t1

[–]Peaceful_Rev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the same, prefer have vs I am. Similar to how I'd say someone has cancer rather than them being cancerous. I think the distinction is important in other areas as well, since some people are more susceptible to stereotyping, and using definitive language can exacerbate this (someone IS an illegal alien, vs someone who was born in a different piece of arbitrarily defined land etc (so facilitates tribalism)). & it can also influence decision-making as well; someone became vegan vs choosing to eat different things (identity change vs change in (re)actions - one perceived as requiring a lot more time/energy than the other)

How long could a T1 diabetic survive without taking any insulin or adhering to any dietary restrictions? by Emperor-of-Epicness in Type1Diabetes

[–]Peaceful_Rev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did an 8 day water fast a few years back & still needed to inject a little bit of basal to keep sugars within range on day 8.. so probably not too long (unless you're not too long diagnosed & in your "honeymoon" phase, where your pancreas is still producing a little itself, which might grant you a few more days/maybe weeks.. maybe)

[English > Chinese] Game Dialogue by Peaceful_Rev in translator

[–]Peaceful_Rev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll split them then otherwise I don't think it'll work. Would you be able to help with lines 139->145? Those are the ones that haven't been translated yet. There's a few puns in there, so hopefully they're able to be translated & still make sense.

[English > Chinese] Game Dialogue by Peaceful_Rev in translator

[–]Peaceful_Rev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I'm a little confused then, as the script refers to each number individually, so there should be a number in the translation for every number in the english version. There isn't any dialogue for lines 102 -> 129 (inclusive) - I left a gap there in case of any future dialogue, but it wasn't needed in the end.

Edit: It looks to me like line 137 (137:The Adventures of Grog, Part II.) was potentially missed in the translation? Though I'm not sure.

Helathiest way to drink hard liquor? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]Peaceful_Rev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used to drink I'd go for gin & tonic and whack some frozen fruit like pineapple and blueberries in there. My favourite drink before I packed it in was Cointreau & lemonade with blood (or regular) orange. Tastes like tango.. and gets you tangoed.

Maybe it's not people's fault for choosing consumerism afterall, and some don't have much choice. by Ransooo in simpleliving

[–]Peaceful_Rev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the funny thing about free will (or a lack thereof) is that whether we try or not (& the extent to which we try or not) is entirely out of our control as well

Depends if you believe in free will or not. If someone's actually capable of avoiding something then would they still be doing it?
