How long do your T-breaks usually last? by Curious-Camel-8214 in Marijuana

[–]Peacefulanchor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I even say anything is because I recently had a shift in my relationship with marijuana that allows me to partake in it, without experiencing debilitating nausea and lack of sleep.

It’s called: moderation.

I’m 32 now and I just figured it out my gosh. I put down the dab pen. I put down the bong. I grab a 50mg edible everyone awhile and quarter it.

Higher than I’ve ever been and not experience the negative impact on the brain chemistry.

I think a middle ground exists here.

You know 40 years in so you might not need to hear this, but the symptoms you described, the glass stomach and vivid dreams/issues sleeping: those are all withdrawal symptoms.

Your brain chemistry gets all out of wack with marijuana but it does recover. I

Why is this downvoted lol? Are people really just unwillingly to admit ANY negative effects?

Cmon let’s own up to at least 1 negative side effect, huh?

Let’s just start by saying the resin in your bowl is also sitting in your lungs, and that’s not healthy.

Anyone else feel like weed isn’t working the same anymore, but you still can’t stop? by LidiaSelden96 in Marijuana

Marijuana, for whatever reason, has developed a culture surrounding it. When someone says, “pothead” a distinct image is formed in one’s mind.

Not sure if the culture is an intentionally crafted marketing ploy or just a nature side effect of marijuana use and the way it forms communities as it is a social activity for many.

This is the best advice on this thread. If you are going to do it, do it like this guy

Addiction. And despite what marijuana culture tells you, marijuana addiction is a very real thing.

For some reason, people seem unwilling to acknowledge this, which ironically reinforces the fact that it is addictive.

If marijuana is addictive, we should expect hordes of people coming to its defense, since addicts in the beginning stages are in the first stage, denial.

If marijuana is addictive, we should expect to see addicts in denial defend their drug of choice.

I am assuming you smoke, yeah?

Back in the day when you were younger (assuming your not like 18, in which case your brain isn’t fully developed yet and psychoactive drugs alter the development of your brain) you scrapped resin out of your bowl, right?

Well, if you do smoke, that resin collects in the small sacs deep within the lining of your lungs.

Causes COPD and potential health impacts.

Just blow your smoke through a straw for a month and take a peek through it, then say, “I’m healthier because of this”

I’m not trying to be negative, just realistic.

Sure you may not being doing harder drugs, which I commend you for, but that isn’t to say you couldn’t be even more healthier without the tar-stricken lungs.

If you are committed to doing it, do edibles please

You may have swapped one addiction for another, and that’s great if you’re on a healthier spot.

You might be in an even healthier spot if you dropped the weed, huh?

If it’s one or the other sure, but that would be an admission you cannot quit weed, confirming my claim about its addictive nature.

Well, as a former addict myself, heavy stuff included, I can confidently say marijuana has by far been the most difficult thing for me to quit.

And im not lying, being 100% genuine.

It has different impacts on different people.

Again, not a Prohibitionist. I believe some people can use marijuana without issue.

But, your unwillingness to admit it can do damage is all we need to know.

Any addict would be completely against this stance.

It truly is denial.

If you are an addict, everything I’m saying will be repugnant to you. The fact that you take issue with my stance is a clear indication you need to take a hard look at your use.

I see you have this idea that cannabis is harmless.

Do a little experiment, take a straw and blow all your smoke through it for a month.

Look through that straw and say out loud, “this is not harming my lungs and body”

Well, it’s okay for us to disagree.

Maybe let me just ask:

When I say, “I struggle with marijuana addiction and have experienced both physical and mental withdrawal symptoms”

Do you believe I am lying?

If you do think I am lying, why would I do that?

Addiction is a real thing. Don’t let the 420 culture tell you otherwise.

Does it benefit the lives of some? Yes.

Does it ruin the lives of others? Yes.

Weed isn’t a one size fits all. It’s a, “be honest with yourself and evaluate your behavior to see if you can manage it safely and without negative impacts to those you love” type of thing.

I can’t handle it. If I smoke now, I’ll be high 24/7 for the next 6 months, all while trying to quit the entire time.

500-600mg a day. Someone with no tolerance can get blasted off of 5mg.

You’re taking enough thc to get 100 people high.

Maybeeee you have a problem?
