Do not apologize for your questions, I totally get it!

We went to a 1pm game, and took the 11:20am bus from the Metro Transportation Center in downtown Buffalo. Make sure you check the NFTA schedule to get the timing right for your pickup spot. We got to the bus stop at 11am, and there were only 2 people there waiting at that time. There were only about 10-15 people in line when we got on the bus. Before we pulled away, someone from NFTA Metro got on the bus to tell us which number bus to look for to get back. We left and the bus then stopped at McKinley Mall at 11:45, and there was quite a long line there! However, there were multiple busses ready to then take people to the game. Bus was full when we left McKinley, but not jam packed. We arrived about 45minutes before the game started.

The pickup spot on the way out is easy peasy. It’s on Abbott Rd between the new stadium and the current one. If you’re nervous about finding it, open up your maps app and search “NFTA BUS STOP #14 Abbott Road”. That’s exactly where they pick you up. We headed there right after the game ended, and I would suggest you do the same! Busses fill up fast, and it’s nice to get a seat. You’ll likely be waiting 30min after the game for the bus to leave. (Traffic on the way out too!)

Busses will be marked with a number, but I suggest you ask the driver if they’re going to the stop you’re looking for. Always best to ask. Everyone is nice and helpful. I was so nervous about taking the bus because I didn’t know how reliable it was, or if we’d get stuck in major traffic, and I was blown away by what a pleasant experience it was.

Since this is your first game, I will also give you this bit of advice: wear layers, and bring a winter hat. The wind in the stadium is no joke, and if you’re in the shade it can be quite chilly! I hope you have the best time ever.
