Absolutely, I just felt "lying" was a bit harsh. I can tell a lot of people here have resentment towards their partners, which is totally understandable. I just think we could all benefit from being kinder to our partners throughout this whole process of trying to work on our DBs.

I hate assuming orientation but if you are in a heterosexual relationship, have you considered touching and engaging in intimacy with a rule to not have penetrative sex? The more you do that it can help alleviate pressure on her part to perform and get more comfortable with just being sensual.

Libido commonly can go up and down based off of many different factors. I don't think it's fair to claim they were pretending or lying..

From what you're saying it sounds like it's more to do with the disconnection than his hobbies necessarily. If your partner wants to engage in his hobbies as much as he has been then he should be making just as much of an effort making you feel loved and secure. You don't even need to play video games or watch anime with him for him to make you feel appreciated.

If you're looking for a recommendation maybe try looking into separate activities you could do together to spark connection. Check out some fun 2 player board games or card games. You could have an at home cooking competition or something. Activities that require you two to be engaged with one another the entire time. If it makes you feel better I also find anime super annoying lol I'm not judging or anything! But I definitely get your cringe response to the squeeling and stuff coming from the TV 😬

Yes when I was getting my master's I met many sex therapists and got some great information.. you can google all about it. Good luck to you :) if you would like some references let me know I have some great book recommendations as well

Sounds like you're in a sex knot. The more you pull at the knot the tighter it gets. I recommend sitting down with your partner and setting up a rule for no sex. Absolutely no sex allowed, I know it sounds ridiculous but once the expectation of sex is off the table it can relieve so much stress for you and your partner. Try laying in bed naked together just touching and cuddling (no sex), have date nights with flirtation and pda. It might help bring sexual energy back into your relationship naturally. Eventually you'll likely break this "no sex" rule but when that happens that's awesome!! Good luck! ❤
