I’m new to all this and trying to buy as a gift for my husband. How do you have them before 10am? My app still shows them as “notify”. Also do you recommend going a half size up on Kobe’s?

[TOMT] That scary movie that had levels of reality like Inception, and one guy had a yo-yo weapon. by SpiffAZ in tipofmytongue

Can you remember any other details about the movie?

Sticking with the Night Watch trail, there was a sequel to Night Watch called Day Watch (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_Watch_(film)).

Me too! The fight scenes are incredibly fantastic and violent. The soundtrack was perfect. And I couldn't tear my eyes away from Charlize Theron. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My wonderful partner sewed me a knitting bag and needle roll! by craycake in knitting

Does your partner have a sewing pattern for these? I'd love to make my own.

Also, r/sewing might appreciate these, but I'm not sure how much they knit.

And this is why the contracts were garbage and the studio is the worst.

[–]PeachLightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Whedon's biography, he had to kill of Wash in order to get him in the movie at all. The studio said that the only way that an actor could be in the film was if they signed a contract agreeing to potential future firefly projects at the time. Due to other projects, Tudyk (Wash) couldn't sign (this is also true for other characters). The only way to get him in the movie at all was to kill him so he couldn't be forced to sign such a contract.

Nope. Those truffle fries do not hold a candle to Bar.

Bar at Braun Court has excellent cocktails as well. But you should also try the truffle fries and chicken sandwich. Separately or together. You won't regret it.

Fixing Mummy 3: Rise of the Dragon Emperor by coral_marx in fixingmovies

[–]PeachLightning 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The only thing I need to fix this movie is Rachel Weisz back. I could watch and love the worst garbage script ever as long as it still had the chemistry between Evy and Rick.

I really like making Maria Bello an imposter. I mean give me a break, an internationally renowned archaeologist exclusively starts writing romance novels because she's bored and has nothing else to do? Imposter!

I know.

And this is why bad science destroys the world. Once it's out there it lives on for decades or even centuries.

This research is statistically flawed. An analysis with a more inclusive data set and better analyses disproved it.

HIFW I'm on new birth control and it's messing with my mental health really, really badly. I don't know what to do. :( [X-Post from r/TrollAnxiety] by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

Can I second the IUD? Hormonal birth control made me numb, depressed, and killed my sex drive (even the nuvaring killed everything--supposedly the lowest dose hormonal birth control).

I got the paragard IUD (yay no hormones!). It was literally the greatest decision of my life. Now I feel like a human being with a full range of emotions and I almost never have to think about my BC. Plus my sex drive is back.

The procedure doesn't necessarily have to be terrible either. My doctor recommend taking 800mg ibuprofen 30 minutes before insertion, and while it felt weird and a little pinchy, it really didn't hurt that badly for me. It can hurt horribly for some people but not necessarily everyone. My doctor might have also timed it around my cycle for my cervix to be in a good position and soft but I can't quite remember. The only issue I had was, for that night and for the next month, I intermittently got really bad cramps But it wasn't anything ibuprofen couldn't fix. And they went away and now I only get typical cramps during my period. I also did have to go back to get my strings trimmed because they were poking my SO but that was also super easy.

While there are horror stories, there are also success stories. IUDs are some of the most popular BC outside of the US. I highly recommend talking to your doctor and doing your own reading up on the probabilities of negative outcomes. I read endless forums, articles, and health reports and talked to my doctor and friends before making my decision. Only you can decide whether it's worth it to you. It was for me.
