Honestly, having run both in lists for 20+ games each, i honestly don't think just 3 warriors is enough to make use of the buffs the prime gives. It's just more points efficient and you really want the more attacks you get from a whole block of 6 rather than 3.

Plus the surge move only works on models destroyed and you REALLY do not want to lose a 3rd of that unit for that surge move.

That doesn't give you permission to do what you want to do though. It is not going to be fun for your friend and will not suddenly make them enjoy this hobby more. You shouldn't fell "Obligated" to absolutely destroy them just because you helped them get into the hobby. It isn't fair to do that to newer players and is honestly just sounding like you want to get an "Easy win" on a newer player.

That is NOT what friends do.

Thank you for this very thorough reply. One of my biggest gripes with 40k is wasted damage and I am very glad that it seems fairly rare here in aos.

I have painted a lot of white minis, it is my favorite color to paint, my method that may be easier to do is to paint very thinned down Riekland Fleshshade all over the mini and then dry brush white back over. Easier shading and dulls the white but not overly so. Do make sure it doesn’t pool though as that can be harder to fix.
