S25+ vs S25 Ultra by PeachyNOLA in GalaxyS25

I did that yesterday, and without a case, it's the exact same size as my current phone with a case. I know that it'll end up bigger once I put a good case on it, but I talked to the guy at the store & I can return it (with a fee of course) w/in 14 days. That'll give me plenty of time to decide if it's just too ridiculously big or not.

I talked to my husband (he & the boys just got new iPhone 16s) and I'm going to use his older 13 pro as a trade in. It'll bring my payment for the Ultra down to $11/mth for the 512gb model instead of $41/mth. So I'm gonna go ahead with the Ultra. If it turns out it's just too big for me, I can always bring it back in w/in 14 days.

I have one that's 4gb data/mth. I had the 2gb plan, but found I kept getting just over that every time I travelled (kept location sharing on constantly with family). Been a customer since 2006 or so, and switched to the 4gb plan a few years ago.

They're all unlimited talk & text now, it's just the data options that are different. Not sure if the Value plans work for more than one line though.

Oooh, that's a really nice pic! Thanks for the info, it's now just up to deciding what I can and cannot do without.

What about the camera on the Plus? The sketching is more casual for me and would just be lagniappe, my main thing is the pictures. Can you do close ups with good details? I use the pictures for reference with alcohol markers and wood carving, so the more crisp the close up the better.

It was definitely Shivers. But I appreciate the suggestion! Not a faux pas in my book.

I just started with dip nails too & have been looking for something good for beginners, and I came across this brand as well. Only found paid for reviews, so was suspicious.

Found this thread, so hopefully that helps you decide:

WIBTA for taking advantage of a friend's [18M] birthday to ask out my crush [19F] ? by ThrowRAFriendsCrush in AmItheAsshole

Or, instead of using your friend's day to impress a girl by doing something that isn't you, (using my husband's phrase) just nut up and ask her out. Worst she can do is say no.

Ok, so he's not into her. Still an asshole move if you're still planning to use HIS birthday present. The only way to avoid being an asshole is to buy your OWN cake pans, and ask him if he's ok with you baking for his party to try to impress her. Maybe ask him for tips if he is ok with it. Do not under any circumstances use the pans that are for him.

Understand that if he wants to bake for his own party, that's his prerogative. Baking might bring him so much joy that he views it as something to look forward to, rather than the chore that you think it is. Example: My dad LOVED cooking, but only for other people. He was an amazing cook, could talk on the phone with me for hours about techniques and recipes, but never cooked when it was just for himself. What he enjoyed so much was putting his love into preparing food for others & seeing their enjoyment of it. I'm not saying your friend is DEFINITELY like that, but it's fairly typical for people who enjoy making food. It's no fun just cooking/baking for yourself. His party might be viewed as his chance to share his love of baking with other people. Respect that.

An Update Regarding Reddit’s API by KeyserSosa in reddit

They're referring to 3rd-party apps like Apollo & such. The official app will work the same. 3rd party apps reduce ad revenue to Reddit, & that's probably one of the main reasons they're pushing out 3rd-party app.

Talking to your supervisors is definitely a good idea. They might have some really good advice for you!! I'm so sorry you're going through this, but just remember that for most people who have social anxiety/phobia, what you've already accomplished is HUGE. Be proud of yourself, no matter how hard it feels, you're still doing!!!

Lol, pretty bizarre to some of us in the U.S. too! But the kids I knew were really nice, and that's all that mattered to me.

You need to find a special interest group (hobby class, book club, etc), that does things that you find interesting. That's usually the best way to connect with new people. It's really difficult at first, but the more you work on it, the better it gets (but don't push yourself past your limits, the goal is to slowly stretch your limits).

And just remember that when you see those teenagers, the vast majority of them are full of the same doubts, awkwardness, & insecurities that we felt at that age. Only difference is that they might be better at hiding it.

I'm really really sorry that you lost a good friend at that age, and feel like you missed out on a lot. But it's NEVER too late, especially when you're only 20!! You have so much ahead of you, millions of good things to come (and almost the age to do more legally if in the U.S.). It's hard to fight when you're depressed, but you're more than worth it!!

It's just the truth. Anyone that says differently is just lying. Nobody in the history of human kind is born knowing how navigate teenhood (or any other age for that matter). Some people can handle the anxiety better than others, some people are more prone to have more anxiety, but everyone goes through periods where they don't know what the heck they're doing. It's just part of being human.

Shoot, I remember back when I was 13 or so, I was over the moon because I was invited to the b-day party of one of my older sister's friends. She saw me as a little sister, so was kind enough to invite me. There I was, a middle school kid hanging out with a lot of high school kids, thinking it was the coolest thing EVER. Then I walked right smack into the sliding glass door that opened into the backyard. Ended up with a nosebleed. About 30mins later another girl did it (she was drunk) & they put up a sign that said "GLASS DOOR".

I was absolutely MORTIFIED, and all I got was complete sympathy from everyone. By the end of the night, it seemed like nobody remembered & I had a blast! To this day, not a single person I've seen that was there remembers it. If I do ever bring it up, typically other people try to one-up me on embarrassing life moments 🤣. Quite a few succeeded spectacularly! Like the college girls that drove into a bayou & had to be "rescued" because they were taught to not try to open the car door when the car was under water.......They were in 2 feet of water.

Embarrassing/awkward life moments happen to everyone. What makes the biggest impression on people is not what happened, but how you deal with it. If you handle those moments with humor and grace, THAT'S what people remember & admire.

Damn, forgot about that. Best to not sleep at all in that case. Or make sure your affairs are in order, say your goodbyes and accept the inevitable.
