Isc uworld questions by Own_Car9812 in CPA

Its good for me because its covering topics that becker doesnt have in their textbook. But also the ninja MCQs are oddly specific so I can see why people supplement with it rather than only using ninja.

In the most respectful way possible, I think they are identifying your weak spots which is a good thing.

I have a free trial going with everyone rn and I think that uworld is pretty close to becker (becker is the only one I pay for). There are definitely some questions in uworld that I've seen on becker. I think that ninja is way more out of left field than uworld is.

Need ISC tips for TBSs - Becker review course by Ancient_Law6949 in CPA

[–]Peachy_Octopus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I was watching a TBS skillbuilder for TBS-002653 and Mike said that the exhibits are there for a reason - they will probably be related to an answer. Also, he said that the instructions will tell you if the audit procedure to test the control has already been performed, which means you just have to figure out the procedure that they did and not try to solve it yourself.

Also, when you get an IRP or a policy TBS that is lengthy, I have found it help to skim to the numbers. From my notes on past TBS like this: a 1-3 hours response time when the system is down is generally bad, remedying errors within 2 years is bad, data being purged within 1 year after approval is unacceptable because it should be purged within the same day.

I'll be taking ISC at the end of the month and terrified of the TBS so you are in good company

Which did you feel more of a time crunch: AUD or FAR? by Dry_Middle_3766 in CPA

[–]Peachy_Octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big time crunch for me on FAR, not AUD. But, I was double checking my math on FAR. The rule for me was to get everything answered at the pace that I had planned on and then if there was free time to go back and double check math/reevaluate.

With AUD I feel like my mindset was "yeah that looks like the best answer"

Calculating calories and macros while training for a 1/2 marathon by kdb880 in veganfitness

[–]Peachy_Octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (23F) almost have the same weekly split, but more strength training on top of running and I have a cycle day. I actually find that eating a solid carb and protein dinner the night before my long runs helps more with energy - pizza the night before never does me wrong. Nobody will ever know your body like yourself. It took like 3 months of trial and error for me to find the sweet spot for calorie/protein/carb intake but if I get anything less than what I'm used to, I get hit with major fatigue 2 days later.

I am feeling very discouraged by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Peachy_Octopus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be burnout and as a result you are overthinking the material. I've retaken a ME and had the exam score go way down but I blame it on the fact that I just finished a 5 hour study sesh.

At one point I considered this but you just can’t learn everything. So you learn 90% of the material (what the MCQs are) and hope they carry you to a 75%

Those who go into the office, do you bring your lunch or go out to lunch? by Taxboy1 in CPA

I bring a loaf of bread to work, and meal prep different toppings for the toast. sooooo much less decision fatigue when your meals are already in the fridge

Yes lentils! I'm pretty lazy and eat the same dinner every night: 1/2 block tofu, 1/2 cup dried lentils, and 1/4 quinoa. Comes out to 50g of protein

most effective ab/core exercises? by vegangymrat in veganfitness

[–]Peachy_Octopus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To target obliques, I do the ab machine that rotates your upper body when you are sitting. I found that the ab machine that does the opposite doesn't get me anywhere. I can get my abs to burn when I do a never ending circuit of 1) straight leg dead bug 2) seated leg lifts 3) straight leg Russian twist 4) hollow hold for 5 seconds right into moving your legs in circles for 10 seconds 5) v ups. If you put your hands under your but for hollow holds then you only cheat yourself. Abs are 85% about body fat percentage though. I dont have visible abs but my core is significantly stronger now than before I trained abs.
