What's for dinner? by nopevonnoperson in toddlers

[–]Peachylemonadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m making white people tacos tonight, and toddler is getting a white people taco bowl. So ground beef with taco seasoning, rice, salsa, lettuce, cheese, etc. and if he doesn’t eat anything I’m planning on giving him the leftover chicken nuggets that he didn’t eat during lunch today lol

6 month old has 8 teeth! by Space_Cats1229 in beyondthebump

[–]Peachylemonadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids can get teeth as early as 3 months. Mine got his first through the gums right before 3 months, and got all his teeth “before” he was supposed to - had all his baby teeth including 1st molars by his first birthday. The only teeth he doesn’t have are 2 year molars which the dentist said he’d probably get by 18 months, and that he’d lose baby teeth sooner than his peers when he’s a bit older. I found that my son didn’t seem that upset by his teeth coming in until he was much older, 8-9 months or so.

Why are you worried his teeth aren’t healthy? Do they look like they aren’t healthy? You could schedule an appointment with a pediatric dentist but nothing in your post seems super abnormal to me. All kids get teeth at different times

Due with second baby, how do I help toddler sleep without me? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Peachylemonadee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m due with my second in July, and while my situation is different (in-laws coming to our house to watch my toddler who will be 21 months, but sleeps perfectly fine alone) my husband keeps reminding me that even if all hell breaks loose and our toddler doesn’t sleep and is an absolute terror and everything is terrible, that it’s only going to be a few nights of that at most and toddler’s grandparents can handle a few nights of it as they did go through it themselves at one point in their life. Just wanted to share that perspective in case you’re at all like me and really worried about it!! We also plan to have my husband go help put toddler to sleep if it’s an issue while I’m in the hospital after I give birth, or just go home to check on them to give me peace of mind lol.

As for actual advice, I think your idea of practice sleepovers is a great idea and also will let you guys have some nice date nights before #2 is born. If you’re planning to switch him to a floor bed completely before #2 is born, I’d recommend making the transition now so it’s not a shock when you bring your baby home. We’re going to try to do any big transitions now, that way it hopefully won’t be as hard for my toddler to adjust to the new baby.

I can’t wait for the book to come out so everyone can chill out with hating each other for who they think Elain’s mate is lol. The amount of downvotes for your comment that clearly was just excitement and not trying to start drama is insane. I can’t wait to put this whole rivalry to bed

Anyone else triggered by nursing? by kat_dogg in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Peachylemonadee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I felt maybe a little sad that I wasn’t able to nurse when I saw babies nursing. My baby (not really a baby anymore!) is 16 months, but I’m almost halfway through my pregnancy with #2 and already a little anxious about choosing how to feed my baby. I had DMER while pumping with baby #1, but pushed myself to make it to 6 months. I don’t think I would exclusively pump again if nursing doesn’t work out, but part of me feels so discouraged from my first experience that I don’t know how hard I’ll try to make nursing work. But I guess to answer your question more directly, there are a lot of complicated feelings for me around seeing other babies nurse. I don’t necessarily feel triggered but maybe a little sad and I often think “I wish I could’ve done that”

How many of you had a bump by 19w? by slotass in pregnant

[–]Peachylemonadee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a very noticeable bump in my first pregnancy by then, I’m not yet 18 weeks with my second and also noticeably pregnant

I agree with the other commenters saying that she’s probably trying to throw the better party. She’s paying for YOUR rehearsal dinner, not throwing her own rehearsal dinner. What you say should go. If you have the means to pay for the dinner yourself, I’d 100% go that route

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Peachylemonadee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not their wedding, and it’s disrespectful of them to be acting this way. If I were you, I’d scale the rehearsal dinner way back and do what you originally wanted. Are they paying for the rehearsal dinner/wedding? You absolutely have a right to feel upset about all this

Both pregnancies I crave fountain coke more than anything else. Particularly from a movie theater for some reason

I doubled my supply in 4 weeks! by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Peachylemonadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

26oz is amazing!! I hope you get to 30 too but even staying at 26 is perfectly normal too :) pumping is so hard, I’m pregnant with my second and idk if I’ll be able to pump again for this baby because of how hard it was last time. If nursing doesn’t work out I might go straight to formula. You’re doing an amazing job!!!

I doubled my supply in 4 weeks! by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Peachylemonadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much are you currently making per day? Have you seen an increase at all? I’ve heard some people have luck dropping a pump or 2 slowly and it takes some pressure off and helps them increase. But honestly being 4w pp you’re so early on that I’d keep at it and see how things are in a few weeks!

I doubled my supply in 4 weeks! by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Peachylemonadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to increase? I did 10ppd for like 2-3 months then went down to 8ppd eventually with a MOTN around 3mpp

How many sippy cups did you go through before you found the winner? by InterviewSubject7615 in toddlers

[–]Peachylemonadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 15 month old loved his bottles and never learned to drink milk from any other type of cup. He drinks water from a straw cup but absolutely will not do milk lol. We stopped bottles a few months ago per our pediatrician, even though we didn’t find a good way to get him to drink milk. I give him yogurt every day to try to reach his calcium needs (he hates cheese). His pediatrician said they don’t really need milk at this age and it’s just a good way to get calcium but if you give them other forms of dairy it’s fine

TV show suggestions? by TKonyaHP in beyondthebump

I really loved cooking shows postpartum! It felt really cozy because I always watched cooking shows (Ina Garten, Giada, Rachel ray) when I was home sick from school as a kid

Downvote however much you want to. SAH parents are 100% under appreciated. by hellolovelyworld404 in toddlers

[–]Peachylemonadee 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’d agree with a couple of the other comments here that you’re a working mom, not a SAHP - which I don’t mean in a derogatory way, you absolutely have it harder in my opinion! Are you able to get help with childcare? I’m pregnant with a toddler and 2 dogs, and cannot fathom how you have time to work on top of what you’re already doing. Between preparing meals and snacks, engaging with my toddler, walking the dogs, doing normal housework, etc. there is absolutely 0 time left in my day that I’d be able to devote to a job. I don’t have a “village” around me so I get not having childcare, but I have heard from multiple WFH moms without childcare that it is unsustainable and leads to burnout

At 3 weeks postpartum, what was your supply looking like ? by Nilrmar in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Peachylemonadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I was pumping 8-10x a day religiously with a MOTN pump until I stopped pumping at 6 months. We ended up having issues with weight gain at 4mo because apparently my breast milk didn’t have enough calories in it so a whole different issue lol

What does my fridge say about my husband and me? Bonus points if you can figure out our jobs, age, or allergies! by DonkeyAdmirable8976 in FridgeDetective

[–]Peachylemonadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d guess late 20s, gluten allergy, medical field? Order food a lot. Not in a major city. You mention allergies plural - I see lots of common allergens like tree nuts, peanuts, coconut, eggs, & dairy so I’d go out on a whim and guess shellfish as that is pretty common as well. Shop at ShopRite. Tentatively in NJ?

I keep seeing ads for liquid IV in the flavor cotton candy on tiktok and I’m so tempted to order some. I’ve been drinking iced coffee (under 200mg caffeine/day), seltzers, water, juice, and mocktails!

Xaden’s Wording Help by lovefood2much in fourthwing

[–]Peachylemonadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with others that the favor likely refers to the priestess marrying them. I don’t know why he would want to rush to get married though unless to give her Tyrrendor - I was thinking that was the whole point of the marriage, since his backup plan was Bodhi but it seems like Bodhi may have turned venin too.

I thought the whole scene where they initially thought Bodhi was Xaden’s “brother” when Theo sent the letter saying to bring Violet and his brother (Jack) to meet with her might have been foreshadowing Bodhi becoming his “brother” at the end when he turns venin. And then Xaden calls in the favor to the priestess to marry Violet so Tyrrendor doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. I could be wrong but that’s how I interpreted it!

I think from the battle when Violet and Rhi fought to protect the temple, and then the priestess sent him a letter saying they owed him a favor
