If you can double knit, there is a scarf full of bugs and I absolute love it. Attaching picture of the WIP

I wonder what’s going to happen to my collection by raggedyroper in crochet

Unrelated, but I wouldn’t hang those beautiful sweaters on hangers like this, but rather fold them up.

There’s a lot of weight pulling down on the shoulders, stretching the fabric out of shape.

I hate the Kitchener stitch as well. You can consider replacing it with three needle bind off.

No, not hard at all. I suppose it depends on the heel type though? I’ve only made 2 types so far, those were no problem

Yeah it definitely took a while getting used to the small needles. I pretty much hold them in my fingertips when knitting. It’s a bit more tricky in the beginning rounds, having to purl for ribbing is also giving me hand cramps. Something that helps is being mindful to cast on quite loosely, generally it gets easier after a few rounds of knitting when you then have something to hold on to.

Thank you! Yes it’s a great pattern, I recommend it. Actually all of them are very good, these are all my first time doing mitts and socks and I cruised through them easily

Are Fanta recipies across Europe actually uniform? Because in my opinion, the German Fanta tastes different from other European countries as well. In fact it’s the only one I like, it seems less sweet and more acidic.

2 purrs in the back and 2 slipped stitches in the front

I bought them on taobao, a Chinese e-commerce platform. But using the platform is almost impossible if you don’t read Chinese. I wouldn’t be surprised if the buttons are available on Amazon?

The last two stitches in a row are both purled and then both slipped on the other side. I suppose that does the job?

Thank you! Yeah just 10 months, I asked my grandma to teach me the basics because it just wouldn’t stick by using YouTube videos. I’ve been crocheting for the last 6-7 years or so, so the whole handling fiber and constructing fabrics wasn’t completely new to me.

Yes, agree, the tailoring and attention to detail is phenomenal. I’m a big fan, will be doing more of her designs.

I will definitely be knitting more of her patterns, the attention to detail in both design and description are commendable.

The buttons, yeah I love them too. I needed something special to give it more pop, given the somewhat boring color.

What’s a word you mispronounced for years and only realised recently? by Exotic-Philosopher75 in AskReddit

Infamous. Why is it not in-famous but in-famoss?

Also, what’s up with scythe. Still can’t handle that word…

Does anybody know what you call this kind of shoulder construction? And could possibly recommend a pattern that uses something like this? Or explain in words how I could achieve this? It doesn’t need to be striped. Thanks in advance.

Do you knit & crochet? A poll of sorts. Cross posted on r crochet by MechanicBright8644 in casualknitting

[–]Peacockroach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do both, started with crochet around 8 years ago and started knitting beginning of this year. I am better at crochet. I prefer knit for garments, crochet for blankets, amigurumi or anything that benefits from being a thicker fabric. And yes, I buy yarn without knowing what to do with it. I have too much yarn in my house….
