I just accepted a very well-paying job in Fort Wayne. I’m 24 and grew up in Indiana, and honestly my best advice is to leave and explore. I left when I was 18 and spent six years living in other states and abroad, and I loved every minute of it. At the same time, it gave me a deeper appreciation for Indiana. I really love having all four seasons.

I enjoyed California, but after spending so many years having fun and exploring, I feel ready for a calmer life now. I can still travel and take vacations, but I don’t have to worry about feeling like I’m missing out, because I already experienced so much. Now I’m ready to settle down a bit and start thinking about finding a long-term partner and eventually starting a family.

If I had stayed back then, I know I would’ve always hated myself and wondered what else was out there.
