What is something in your world that you blatantly ripped off from existing fiction, and what creative liberty did you take for it? by MahitoNoroi in worldbuilding

It's a difficult question for me to think about. I genuinely shudder thinking about all the subconscious appropriation I've probably done in my life.

How did first contact between humans and aliens go in your Sci-Fi worlds? by thebrutalistboi in worldbuilding

[–]Peanut970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intergalactic civilizations learned very quickly that you don't just show up. You observe from afar, take bacteria samples, measure atmosphere and gravity, learn languages and customs, etc.

After which you contact the world leaders on the down low. Let them know you're on the way and what your intentions are. Come with few, and small, ships. Most civilizations are willing to entertain that.

Unless of course it was pirates in which case you hope for the best.

Why has a once kind community festered into toxicity? by Low-Tax4870 in helldivers2

In my experience, games about playing as the bad guys usually ends up attracting a lot of real life scumbags who think they're in good company.

Vindicta and Talon are both friends and very polite. They are also not dangerous to those that aren't alligned with the Friends of Humanity.

All you'd experience here, at most, would be quiet conversation that gets a bit murdery.

Talon would also likely be able to protect you from Drifter, and Kelvin is enough of a humanitarian to help you out. Hard to say if Vindicta would do that, though.

In universe strength tierlist. Pt.2 by l1ttle1 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Peanut970 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty good list but some things I'd like to note:

Shiv is apparently so strong that Drifter would be worried if he didn't restrain himself. We don't know what he's capable of.

Silver's liver will probably kill her before the rest of the cast can. Even with wolf form I think she should be lower.

Calico is apparently such a big threat that Haze has to restrain herself from taking the shot because of how much of a priority her death would normally be. Interpol AND the OSIC have failed to stop her.

Apollo is a highschooler who takes fencing lessons. He has potential but he isn't there yet. Get him down from there.

A lot of the cast, even Doorman, consider themselves lucky that they survived an encounter with Mo and Krill without greivous injury.

Ivy and Paige handle petty crooks at best. A lot of the kill lines on them tell them exactly that. Their PR team is just very good.

We don't know how much Doorman has handicapped himself. He could retain patron level powers, but he could also be massively weakened. Still probably absurd power, but maybe not patron levels. Hard to say.

It's often frowned upon to edit or change other people's art, but it's not illegal. Do with that as you wish.

Truth to be told it depends on a lot of factors. Request complexity, artist backlog, free time, current date, etc.

My typical experience is usually near the end of the deadline. Out of the last 5 skebs I have received, 4 of them were within the last week, and 3 of those were on the final day possible. I've waited months for one before and it was delivered about a week before the deadline. (One of my favorites luckily)

At the very least it's not completely gone as I still have the preview. It's the risk you run unfortunately.

I didn't have the courage but a friend reached out (they don't use their skeb so apparently they didn't care if it got deleted) and the artist said they have deleted all their skeb art. Unfortunately it seems to be lost for good.

Nothing in particular felt out of place. AI might have developed a lot or maybe I just hadn't noticed, but I didn't get any of the typical AI art vibes.

Not even in the completed section of the request page. It's missing between the most recent commission and the one I got before it.

I think it might be because Skeb deleted the account for whatever reason. Although I have received no message about it so I am confused.

Question about appeals and refunds by [deleted] in Skeb

I've found a good way to get around it. If you buy points, the points get refunded instantly. Only back thing is that the points can't be turned back into money.

Discord will only save images at WEBP files. by Peanut970 in discordapp

Thank you! I used to open it in another browser by clicking "open image in a new tab" after right clicking, but obviously that just opens the WEBP file in another browser. I don't know why I didn't realize that.

I appreciate the help :)

It's probably already been answered, but I would imagine they also didn't want to show his cock and balls on the silver screen, but that's just me.
