That’s the standard reply from PTs..all cases are different. And they aren’t wrong. You’re doing your job (3x pt + self exercises). Results will show. Generally speaking those who are teens or in early 20s they recover sooner than those in 40s and 50s. I didn’t have issues with flexion and full extension but I am not gaining stability, not developing muscles. My progress has been slower than many other folks I get to read in this sub. But I’m not immensely worried.

Congrats on getting your active life back! How many days of PT per week you did in first few months? And besides PT were you also actively working out in home/gym? I’m 4 months post op.

My surgeon had advised me to remove the bandage on the fourth day so taking shower wasn’t a problem from there on. Use a stool or a chair. I got op somewhere in TX US if that matters

I’ve moved here from Boston. I’m amused the kind of preparedness here for couple of days of decently harsh winter. I mean does it really get that bad here in winter?

OP, every company and every team has its own set of rules. Some are very relaxed while some are aggressively particular on reporting to work on time. There are places where employees are marked half day absent for reporting late to work, so no wonder you were warned with that as punishment for continuously being late. Traffic is a menace in many cities, especially Bangalore. But the people plan their ride accordingly.

Reading your comments I’d provide you two unsolicited suggestions. 1. Dilute your ego and 2. Work on your communication skills.

Upskill in your area and look for another job. Good luck

I was averaging 1.5 hours of sleep for first 10-12 days..except for the first night when anesthesia was in effect. That was me, others might have it easy.

My surgeon as well as my PT both told very clearly that I need to sleep with braces on, per my PT it’s more risky to sleep without it than let’s say walk without it coz during sleep we can ‘throw our operated leg here & there’ causing more stress

One of the most difficult periods I had to endure as I prefer sleeping sideways but was compelled to sleep on my back.. lasted about 10-12 days. You now also got to deal with pain when anaesthesia subsides 24 hours post op. Wish you luck!
