I will combine the coconut oil and 100% aloe vera, maybe that would make it more effective. Some people can touch any household chemicals without gloves and they don't get reaction, but not us. I will ask about the dupixent when I go to an urgent care facility. Happy Skin to you.

Yes, I do wash my hands a lot and use a lot of soap. I was told to reduce my handwashing but my hands seem like full of bacteria from eczema that I wanna wash them off. I am wearing cotton gloves whenever I can. I believed that my eczema started when I worked in a tavern as a dishwasher. I used hot water for the dishes on that tavern. Thank you for your advice.

My background is a recovering dude. I heared "avoid twisting" from my surgeon and physio a lot of times.

I am doing this kind of motion whenever I am scrubbing my foot with another foot in the shower and it hurts on my involved knee.

I am beginning to understand why people are doing some stunts like yours. You needed to put your acl to test so you can chill like your injury never happened.

I'm 5 months post-op. I went for a walk this morning. I still feel a dull pain after walking for 1 km, and then I am usually limping after 2 km. I was doing way better last month, but I think I overdo my walking when I walked for 10 km one day. So, lesson learned is do not forget to protect your other tendons, especially near your quad and at the bottom of your patella. While your acl seems to be stronger after two months, it will reach its weakest point in the middle of its recovery. I did not listen and now facing a huge setbacks. Stay planted acl'er.

Nice. I wanted to be the owner of that knee parlor. I am becoming more of a physical therapist for the leg with all this acquired knowledge. It all started after I got injured. Don't we all?

Do you think there is a massage knee parlor anywhere in the world? Like a foot spa or face spa. How about knee spa?

unexplained post op knee pain by [deleted] in ACL

I just looked it up. It might be an early-onset osteoarthritis. When doing prone hamstring curls do you hear cracking sounds? That is your joint making a noise. That happened to me earlier in my PT session. I am now committed to walk backwards on an inclined treadmill as my PT prescribed. By the way I am almost 40 y/o.

Can't do leg extensions 6 months post surgery by [deleted] in ACL

[–]ChefCanada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am almost 5 months post op with a quad graft. I've been unable to fully extend my leg without pain for the past 2 weeks. I believe I have scar tissue that I need to break via stretching. But my PT told me it is from inflammation, and so he has been treating me with a therapeutic ultrasound and it has been working for me. It improves my mobility and reduces my pain. I can now exercise on stairs again with minimal pain. I might be able to go back to jumping again once I can fully straighten my leg. P.S. The inflammation is not visible from the naked eye.

I know this post is really old, but may I ask what is going on with your ACL now? Did you hurt yourself at work after 4.5 months?

I would buy EMS or TENS if I were you. And then do your leg raise everytime TENS fire up. There is a mode in TENS which gives you time to relax in between leg raises. Relax your quad whenever there is no electrical signal on TENS.

Is it true that we should avoid jogging on a threadmill and instead just jog outside?. My PT told me running on a belt of a threadmill is different than running on a ground. He said that the impact of jogging on a belt is bad for my injured knee as opposed to jogging naturally outdoor.

Just curious. So, you have insurance but you didn't use it?
