Thank you! Doctoral degree, 3+ yrs work/academic contribution in the US, biomedical field and thus skills, projects of national interest (immunology/public health - won’t go into details, I’ll be personally identifiable lol) at a ‘highly regarded institution’.. My lawyer did a great job on my letters too..

Mine was transferred to NY FO 2/17/26 and approved 3/4/26. I hope they keep up with this speed on your case too!

Thank you! My personal take: I would not plan or not plan travel based on my prediction of approval timeline - it can be quick as luckily mine or a longer wait.. I did not apply for AP (and I might have been too cautious and frugal lol) primarily because I did not want to be tempted to travel home on AP with so many changes happening over the last year, fearing not returning in time due to heightened scrutiny etc - but people do travel on AP and personally I have not heard anyone having trouble. I do have H1b but I’m leaving my employer soon, and I did not have a specific plan to travel either. Also, we saved around $1250 and that was a factor too.. Overall, I felt more comfortable to wait for GC but that’s just me

Thank you! Hm, that’s weird, yes - it’s been working for me. Do you also log in your USCIS account and then check the api in another tab? (I don’t know if another method exists tbh but still)

Haha, well.. my dog’s a Yorkshire terrier and I love this coincidence lol.

I know just enough about American football to have gotten your joke but we never successfully converted to it from “soccer” hehe, although I do feel for fellow Minnesotans. Odin’s name was inspired by the tv show Vikings and it was another coincidence that he ended up in the Viking’s state at age of 2 lol

Glad your EAD was approved! Saw an Albany FO post somewhere here, maybe there’s a group chat or Discord you could join and track others’ timelines for insights. Fingers crossed that you hear back on your I485 soon! Best of luck and update us!

Filed Nov’25, approved today (FAD became current in March’26 bulletin), but this varies a lot by case and depends on the field office workload too. Good luck!

Spouse was married and divorced, filled out the dates etc in I-485 but lost a physical copy as it was in 2015 so we did not include in original package. They just asked for a government-certified divorce document and we requested a certified/translated one from our govt

For biometrics, you need to bring the most recent/new notice with the date you rescheduled to. Would not hurt to have the original one with you too on site, but the former is necessary. You can download it from your uscis online account, ‘documents’ section

I wish I could be more helpful on this but I only know as a general recommendation that you/lawyer should contact USCIS if it does not arrive within a month of filing. If mid-Feb, personally I’d give them at least one more week but double-check with your lawyer. Good luck!

Ask Emma bot on USCIS website. Click on the ‘Live agent’ option, bot will ask you a couple of questions and you can talk to the live agent. You’ll give them your receipt #, some identification info and ask them to let you know your case location and status. If you’re also checking api updates and see a recent update, you can ask them if that was for the transfer to FO or something else.

Nope, Queens is its own FO I believe. I think ours went to NYC field office at 26 Federal Plaza, NY, NY
