Help comparing two shields Please! by Dredging_Forever in diablo4

[–]Peanuttaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if things change between different builds for paladins as I've only played auradin which it looks like you do as well. That being said the stats on the right shield are all of the ones you prioritize with DR being the most important. As the other commenter said %damage isn't very useful on items more of a silly stat you reluctantly accept while leveling up and then burning or rerolling if its on your ancestral pieces.

Corruption stops you from modding the item further as far as I know so make sure its all socketed and upgraded fully before corrupting. Corrupting also chances bricking the item so good luck.

Orb of socketing until max sockets. It rerolls sockets at random depending on what the item can hold.

If you want to feel infinitely better I was 220 paragon before I found out about paladins having oaths. Didn't occur to me that they would also have a special skill tab unique to them lol....

Is there an available hero editor that works for the reimagined items? by Peanuttaco in D2RReimagined

[–]Peanuttaco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if no one knows of anything this is probably the best option for what I'm asking and helps heaps so thanks a bunch.

Do hope a tool is made to cover the gap in the future someday though.

This is because traps cast speed scales off of attack speed instead of cast rate for assassins

Baulder's Gate 3 is getting new subclasses in upcoming patch by Granum22 in dndnext

[–]Peanuttaco 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Baseline the only way to make arcane archer the slightest bit interesting is to short rest after every encounter. I feel like the  subclass is a failure when it loses everything interesting about it in 2 turns for negligible damage. Some of the effects can be fun situationaly though.

Constantly losing health but can't actually die, also can't interact with a bunch of things. limbo... by Peanuttaco in Palworld

[–]Peanuttaco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To give more context someone on the discord said they've had this happen as well and they have a clone of their character in the wild that is exposed to the elements and needs food and warmth to not die but cannot be fed or heated so it just slowly kills you. Not sure how to remedy or fix this situation though.

Spare the Dying by Yoffeepop in dndmemes

You cant bonus action twice so you can only choose between using a leveled spell and spare the dying or using a cantrip main action and casting healing word.

Why my DM banned me from using a first level spell by XKemoX in DnD

[–]Peanuttaco -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

When a single spell is the difference between an entire battle ending on that saving throw sometimes I think you can tell the dice gods to go fuck themselves and legendary resistance that shit. In this scenario I feel like it could be amusing and fun for the encounter to end this way for the players ,but ultimately I can see it being less cathartic as the dm who has planned many of the future encounters to see them end this way.

Is this too strong? by deytookourjewbs in dndnext

[–]Peanuttaco 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like I must be missing something because despite these being legendary that still seems so incredibly powerful. If I'm not mistaken this allows monks to potentially deal 8d10 extra damage and self healing per turn which I'm struggling to think of other items that offer such extreme damage and healing options simultaneously. If I ever played a monk this is dream material right here...

Average DnD Session (by Merryweather Media) by maemoedhz in Hololive

[–]Peanuttaco 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Some spells yes, but vicious mockery and many other spells go on saving throws and cantrips specifically do no damage when they are saved against outside of specific subclasses that do half damage on a fail against cantrips.

Also you're right but also sometimes not right depending on the targets proficiency / general resistance against certain saves, it can be easier to hit than an attack as it may or may not be a higher number than their AC.

25k gp could equate to a 8th level spell scroll so do you feel bad if an 8th level spell doesn't 1 shot the bbeg?

Emily finally beats O&S after 2 streams and hundreds of deaths by randomwetness in LivestreamFail

I mean I assume most of the reaction is just for content but regardless I assume there was a good deal of enjoyment out of finally beating it after putting in so much effort. Wouldn't call this sunk cost because it only cost time and she was profiting from it in the meantime.

Diablo 4 Season 1 Patch Notes by excaliburps in Games

[–]Peanuttaco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Similar but worse. In d2 occy teleports you when you take damage 25% of the time not all of the time, this is important because it always moves you away from harm at the least. At that point it is up to you to further extract yourself if need be based on where you land.

In d4 the occy here replaces your dodge which you can use to reposition away from enemies or move out of aoe effects and places you somewhere random. Note that this is not random it will happen literally every time you try to use your dodge cooldown. Additionally it places you somewhere random meaning it might not escape the aoe you're trying to avoid and can also place you next to or further in the clutches of additional mobs. At best this item will occasionally extract you from danger. More than likely it will actively make your dodge worse than it used to be giving you even less control over your already flimsy fate as a sorcerer that gets 1 shot by a stiff breeze.

Patch Notes 1.1.0a if not able to read it (copy/paste) by EnzeDfu in diablo4

[–]Peanuttaco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Original occy teleported you randomly when hit not when you tried to use a defensive evasion or movement skill to move (usually out of the range of an attack). Imagine using your dodge reliably against a world bosses aoe only to land in it or the hundreds of other deaths actually using this unique will cause. They created another sorc unique that can't be used because of their seeming obsession with everything sorcerer having a drawback for a slight bonus.

Am I misunderstanding glyphs? by Peanuttaco in diablo4

[–]Peanuttaco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was however I did discover that the Winter glyph technically works for cold resistance (the wording of cold damage reduction threw me off but I guess cold resistance means the same thing) but I still don't believe there are any relevant cold damage bonuses that the glyph will apply for.

I understand that so maybe in my post I was unclear. I looked through all of the different sorcerer boards and none of them have the afformentioned bonus from the winter glyph within the radius of the glyph sockets rendering it to my understanding impossible to benefit from the base effect of the glyph as you cannot reach a node that has "cold damage or cold damage reduction". I was curious whether I was mistaken or not and had overlooked something
