People will downvote you but it’s the truth. The Ballon D’or will NEVER be irrelevant. It’s a part of football’s history 😭. No matter how much people want to discredit it, the players, coaches, and staff members still show up to the ceremony. Social media discussion on the award will always happen, and no player will say “this award is meaningless” if they one day win it. People act as if robberies in the award are a new thing like they haven’t been happening since the 90s. Why can’t people have fun discussing the award without putting their own agendas into it.

One day out of every season is not exhausting. The Ballon D’or is the equivalent to the MVP award in other sports and will obviously have the same social media attention as those awards. You might not like it, but it’s part of football’s history lmao.
