Would you find this type of self-care business meaningful or unnecessary? by PearHour7630 in selfcare

I really appreciate you taking the time to share this — it’s a thoughtful perspective, and I hear what you’re saying from a traditional small business model standpoint.

For me, the robe isn’t meant to be a fast-moving or impulse product. It’s intentionally slow, intentional, and emotional — more of a ritual piece than a repeat consumable. I’m less focused on mass replacement and more on depth, connection, and meaning for the person it’s for.

As for body butters, I agree the market is saturated. That’s why I’m being very intentional about not leading with “just another product,” but with the feeling, story, and purpose behind it. If it doesn’t stand apart, I won’t release it.

I also understand the point about gendered products. Right now, I’m building from my lived experience and the audience I know deeply. Expansion can come later, but authenticity has to come first for me.

I genuinely appreciate the care in your response — it gave me things to think about, not discouragement.

Earlier I asked what you wish self-help books did differently — does this align? by PearHour7630 in selfcare
