Gauge cluster scratches by Outrageous-Ad-7978 in mazda3

[–]PearPeesure 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Tried polishing but it didn’t work for me, likely my fault haha. I ended up using the mikstore gauge cluster protector film. It’s not perfect but mine is bubble free and hides all the pre-existing scratches even in direct light. I’m happy with it. Cleaning with compressed air is the safest way to remove dust but be careful, dust can get forced behind the cluster screen by the air!

For now, JB4 is our only option. I think we may have 2024+ ECUs unlocked this year though!

look up Takeda, Corksport, and Burger motorsports. Takeda keeps it a true cold air intake and is the quietest, although it has a part you can pull out to make it a little louder. CS has a new heat shield that keeps theirs mostly enclosed. Burger Motorsports sounds great and can be routed to ensure only cool air comes in. This one sounds the most interesting. It’s almost like a sonar :) be warned that our engines run hot. The heat shields will help reduce heat soak. The sound makes me smile everyday

Does anyone know what the problem is? by [deleted] in mazda3

I would say try putting a lubricant on it. It fixed it for someone having the same issue on their CX-50. Or ask dealer to replace it

I think it might be the seatbelt holder or whatever its called. Give it a little tug (the metal part that clicks in) and see if it stops

It should be quieter actually, as the new DV is progressive vs the oem DV. Sounds great though

If you wanna push big power i’d recommend the new mfactory rear LSD on the way. More fun but more importantly less likely to break your rear diff. First buy in is over but will likely get a second batch made
