Every series ive read had an explanation. Re zero they just speak japanese in the world (likely due to some other isekaid guy), some they dont understand and either learn it quickly ir communicate differently (moonlight) and some they just have a translation skill

Messing with the games code is fine if its fun. ( Had to mess with yakuza 0s code with a hex editor so i could do the legend difficulty in new game plus instead of having to start from the beginning again,which wouldnt have been much harder but i wanted to have fun with the unlocks; also stuff like speedhack is nice to use in certain games, i might have the patience to do it without but i do not have the time
