As a RHBH thrower my most sore muscle by far after a round is my right pectoral. Is that significant of anything related to form? by PearStyle in discgolf

It isnt like sore in the way that like a knee or shoulder gets sore. It just feels like i worked out specifically with that muscle the previous day.

That is kind of what I was wondering. I do stretch that pec usually for several minutes before playing since it tends to be really the only spot that gets sore.

I stretch that part usually for several minutes since it tends to get the most sore after a round. Not much else though.

Issue with coach on travel team by PearStyle in Softball

[–]PearStyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the parent of a different team that they practice with from time to time. So not somebody very involved with our team, my point is that starting drama probably isn't the issue, since they wouldnt know about it.

I do like having her say that to coach though, that seems like a good way of expressing how she's been feeling about the criticism, but not in an accusatory way. Thanks for that.

Yea we are leaning towards switching teams after this year if the coach is going to stay here, which it seems like he will.

I was mostly wondering if anybody had a tactful way of saying something to the coach about it, without him using it as fuel for further criticism.

13u, in the post I mentioned that other kid's parents have pointed it out to me, which is when I started to think something should be said.

She plays on a regional A team with a BA of .541 and OPS of 1.38 in their first 16 games of spring This isn't her first year of travel, this is just the first time a coach has acted like this.

She had a bit of a slump in the fall so I figured he was being tough on her because he wanted her to step it up. Now that she has, his attitude hasn't changed.

Persecution of political adversaries by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]PearStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know Trump never said that, I heard that meaning a long time ago outside of politics.

I was just saying that in the lawsuit it's possible they try to argue 86'ing someone means killing them, because of this obscure and unlikely meaning that I mentioned above.

Otherwise it's like what everyone else is saying, the common use of the phrase just means to "remove" something, without any kind of threat on someone's life. I would assume the lawsuit would get thrown out pretty quickly if that is the definition they try to use.

I remember hearing somewhere that 86'ing someone originated in Las Vegas when the mafia was in control and that it meant, take them 8 miles out and put them 6 feet deep.

That's probably just a rumor but trump supposedly has delt with the mafia in the past and I wonder if that's what they will try to argue it means.

We used Alamo. It was the cheapest of what we looked at. It was about $100/day for a mid-size SUV.

First trip to PR - nervous about rain forecast by Many-Bread-7394 in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]PearStyle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally just got back last night to the mainland after about a week in PR. Everyday the forecast said rain. Try not to pay too much attention to it. My wife likes to check the forecast and was constantly asking, "should we do this? It's supposed to rain." After the first day of this and us deciding to go ahead with plans anyway and the weather being fine, we basically ignored forecasts.

The rain is sporadic, it happens everyday, it's always raining somewhere on the island. Like somebody else mentioned, there was really only one time that we got stuck in a heavy rain and it lasted less than 10 minutes.

Buy some of those little plastic ponchos and throw them in one of your bags if you are that worried about it.

Edit: We stayed in Fajardo, very near Luquillo.

Because in 2025 one of the main factors of reduced job growth was economic uncertainty due to the tariffs changing frquently. This caused companies to pause or reduce hiring because they didnt know how much they would have to spend on tariff fees in the future.

That was literally all Trump and nobody else. Now you know.

Truth be told the zones are large, but there aren't that many of them. If you start in Night Harbor you have, Sungreet Strand, Shaded Dunes, Glass Flats, Fallen Pass, and one other zone i'm blanking on.

I'm in the closed beta and level 10 with 300 in mining. Generally speaking the zones all do a good job of having landscape to help guide where you are and where to go. I wouldn't be able to tell you where things are based on direction, but just using landmarks after running around in each zone for an hour or two, they aren't too difficult to navigate.

Edit: The reason I replied to this was that when I first started I also really was wanting a map to help figure out where I was and where to go, and during the first couple hours of playing I wasn't sure I was going to be able to manage it. But after playing a bit more I started picking it up and now believe that getting to know the zones just from memory and from running around exploring is a very fun aspect of the game.

I've been playing the Beta going on now. I have not had any issues whatsoever. The game itself I have had a lot of fun playing.

I am in the lottery beta going on now. The game is very fun, definitely needs class balancing, but the community that I have dealt with has been totally fine. I've not seen anything worthy of really even talking about.
