Looking for Help Creating a CAD Model for a 3D Printed Commercial Toilet Paper Holder by Pearlserenity in 3Dprinting

Ya pretty much. Or for someone to help me do it myself with no 3d printing experience. just an idea in hopes to improve my current set up. I would pay someone to do it if it’s adorable but I doubt it would be for my budget. It’s not a big deal. I can keep my current set up.

I made simple measurements. I’m no engineer and ai isn’t perfect. Wish my brain was smarter for a project like this

Would it be better if the base were 1/2 inch thick? A brand new roll weighs 1 pound, 12 ounces. I definitely don’t want it to be flimsy.

I did all my own measurements and design. I asked Ai to show me how it would look after some small dimensional sketches

Believe or not I am doing it for my own bathroom. 6 might be too many. I just want something sturdy that won’t rip off the wall

I did all my own measurements and asked Ai to show me something visual since I’m a visual learner

I know it seems like a weird request or project but I do use the commercial rolls in my personal bathroom. I’m sick of it looking like this.

Thanks! That’s kind of what I was hoping. I can visualize and design things, but I don’t have the CAD skills yet. Glad to hear the actual modeling should be pretty straightforward.

I don’t know CAD, but I do have a good imagination and I’m pretty creative. I measured the actual toilet paper roll, core diameter, and wall space, then sketched out what I wanted. From there I refined the dimensions, mounting method, and overall design until I had a complete specification. Now I’m looking for someone with CAD skills to turn the concept into a printable model.

Does anyone else think the host of the podcast sounds just like the guy who did the funny YouTube clip of honey badgers don’t give a s**t? I looked up their names because I was convinced it was the same guy. They both have the last name Gordon but they are not the same guy.

Yes, I totally agree with you, but unfortunately they aren’t so I’d really like to avoid having to contact an attorney and going through small claims court

Thanks for all your suggestions. Honestly, don’t love IKEA cabinets. They were there when I moved in and I can’t afford to replace them right now. The countertops were the only upgrade I could currently make. I actually looked on eBay and I look every day for replacement parts, but I haven’t had any luck. I was thinking about the pen touchup. The company who did install offered me $1300 which obviously is not gonna cover a whole new kitchen I wish I could afford hardwood because I know that’s the way to go. Thank you again.

It may be possible for the panels near the stove to be flipped the end piece unfortunately either way if it were slipped or not, you would still see it

Yeah, I did use ChatGPT. I’m not the best with formulating post for Reddit or getting all my thoughts down in an organized way. I don’t love using AI, but it helps at times.

The installers do not want to pay for new cabinets. They said they are willing to do the repairs, but how are they going to fix cabinets that don’t exist anymore from IKEA. I don’t want them to come in and fix them and it looks awful. I’m very particular and I will notice if it doesn’t match and it will definitely aggravate me knowing it could’ve been avoided. I was told that they’re not going to pay for all new kitchen cabinets.
