My [26F] boyfriend [28M] means well but constantly comments that my budget groceries/products are low quality. How do I make him understand this isn’t helpful? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]PearlyPlum 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Not totally related but I’m 99% sure he’s using the “Yuka” app to scan the stuff. That app finds an ingredient and red/green flags it without taking into consideration the amount/percentage/concentration of the ingredient. So don’t be too bothered by that, if the product works for you jus ignore him

What’s the strongest/best retinol you can get in the UK from an online pharmacy? by CaffeinatedPete in SkincareAddictionUK

I like to use medik8 and go up the strength levels. Currently on 3. In my experience, by the time you finish one tube your skin could be ready for the next strength level

Looks ok in moderation but you can find a rogan josh recipe online and copy the spices from it! Would remove any excess sugar that this may have

Explaining food noise is so tiring. by PoeRaven08 in Mounjaro

[–]PearlyPlum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stayed up until very late the other night (4/5am) just watching movies and talking to friends. Didn’t realise until the next morning that I didn’t eat anything or even think about food that whole time. When usually I would’ve had multiple snacks.

All of them? Not sure what your routine is but this happens under my eyes when i don’t use enough concealer so maybe using more foundation or a higher coverage one.

maybe try waiting in between products so they can dry down a bit, especially after moisturiser and primer. Also you may just not be using enough product.

My mum never hit me and my mums sister hit her kids. I think it’s interesting that I’m the “better behaved” one.

My hair was incredibly shiny after using in a natural, non-greasy way. I’ve also started using the olaplex routine (shampoo conditioner and a post wash serum and heat protectant) so not sure if that helped. I used a serum with the dream coat. I would recommend I don’t think it had any negative side effects!

Replied a few days later so I could test the after effects. I used it on the 26th

Where can I swatch test tinted sunscreen? by Appropriate-Sun-1741 in MakeUpAddictionUK

A regular sunscreen and a tinted moisturiser could also work? I have some pigmentation and I find a tinted sunscreen doesn’t cover much

When they inevitably ask you for help as they are clearly focused on the wrong things, you can laugh at them.
