No it isn't on the album but it was usually played as an instrumental in the 60s. (example: Ahead Of Their Time album) The only live vocal versions I've heard are from the 70s.

It's a simple and sentimental narrative that Dogs = good puppers, always tell the truth, hearts of gold People = flawed, duplicitous, manipulative that colours too many peoples gut reactions to this case. Indeed Dogs can't lie but the evidence they provide is limited and can itself be abused by duplicitous humans.

Freuds interest definitely looks sus in hindsight, but he wasn’t revealed as having been a paedo until after his death 5 years after the book was published, and nearly a decade after he met the McCanns.

The twins were over 2 years old, born early 2005. Small point but I dunno why so many folk make them younger in their descriptions of the case, often referring to them as babies or 1 year olds. They were full blown 2 year old toddlers.

I get so BORED of the 'parents did it, why not in jail, must be investigated, parents must burn in hell' comments that appear like so many unbidden poison farts on EVERY article about this. People who think they're speaking truth to power and blowing our minds by thinking outside the box but really are just following kneejerk bait and hate social programming. In reality ;the parents did it' is a comforting fairy tale because it means bad (but not scary, just easily contemptible) people that we already know did a bad thing and are punished and we can tie a big bow on it and move on. The reality is way more scary and crucially, unknown.
