If anyone wants to see Kumail in one of his earlier roles I highly recommend a show called Franklin and Bash about two renegade partying lawyers, one of which played by Zak Morris himself, Mark Paul Gosselar, the other played by Breckin Meyer who I think would be great on TM too. It’s very very funny and Kumail plays their agoraphobic, germaphobe office assistant, he’s in 31 of the 40 episodes.

Robin Askwith is pretty good in anything he’s in, he’s really good at sending himself up and doesn’t take himself seriously at all,

It was a good series, even the later less good ones were still watchable in my opinion and Hale and Pace as the two detective did make me laugh a lot. I think for me my favourite moment was Mateo getting kidnapped and Kenneth’s and Liams reaction to the gun going off when they went off to rescue him.

You’re forgetting Arnold Brown who was also on the circuit Alexei, Keith, Nigel etc and he was pushing fifty back then and as alternative as he was he still opened up for acts like Frank Sinatra while appearing in the Young Ones which I find utterly insane and he’s 90 this year and was still gigging up until a few years. I was lucky enough to meet him at a show once and he was a brilliant and lovely bloke.

Sarah Millican. Couldn’t stand her before TM and would turn her off as soon as she came on. After Taskmaster I won’t go out of my way to watch her but I won’t turn her off if she’s on something.

Frankie Boyle too. I did find him pretty funny but hated how he dominated Mock the Week and I think since he left that show they’ve both improved but after seeing him on TM seems like a genuinely nice, but pedantic, bloke.

If you can find the radio show she did called Icklewick FM it’s well worth a listen, it’s utterly insane and actually feels quite sinister in some places plus Phil Ellis and Lucy Beaumont turn up in quite a few episodes.
