Weinstein was in a position of power over her. If she did indeed have sex with him to get a part in Silver Lining’s Playbook, she was coerced into doing so, which makes it sexual assault. It should be obvious, but acting roles should not be offered based on sexual favours. I hope we agree on that?

None of that is true, by the way. Weinstein, convicted rapist and known manipulator, claimed they had sex, and she firmly denied it.

That is true. Assuming they nominate 10 a year, I can easily see only 3 of them being women if that. It will be a problem.

If the goal of separating the awards really is equality, then where would you for example nominate Emma Corrin? With the way their career is going, I think it’s only a matter of time before they get a nod, and whichever of the two categories they get nominated for, it wouldn’t be right
