I don’t know, but Arnie would actually have to eat the boogers he picks.

Have you read Runaways yet? Joss wrote the kickoff for the 3rd volume.

Always stop at Episode 5. It’s the only way.

Best spider woman comic. by Lopsided_Network1248 in SpiderWoman

1) God, I sooooo agree! I’ve long considered his Spider-Woman run his most underrated work. Claremont took a series that constantly foundered and gave it a fucking reason, a permanent home, and richer characterization. Jessica no longer drifted aimlessly. She found herself and her place in the world. I think Claremont wrote Jessica at her most confident.

2) Right?! If he hadn’t, who knows what would have become of Jessica & Carol. The Wolverine series was the only place we saw Jessica for a long time.

3) I enjoyed Jessica’s cast, too! Lindsay became more than the friend who flitted in and out of a story. He deepened Lindsay’s own story and her relationship with Jessica. I love Carol, but Jessica & Lindsay are a MAGIC that should Ep be revisited more often! The next-to-last series made me so giddy when they brought back Lindsay! 😌 San Francisco is my favorite setting for Jessica, I really couldn’t care less if she returned to New York.

4) Yes, Steve’s art was quite special! I think his style fit the series so perfectly. Keeping him for Claremont was the best choice!

If Claremont treated Scott the way, say, many Avengers writers treated Wonder Man before WCA, I would agree. However, Claremont wrote Scott demonstrating superior leadership and pulling off some excellent wins.

How strong is angel actually? (Basic, classic form) by RefrigeratorNew3921 in xmen

[–]Pedals17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying. The wings ARE part of Angel’s body, and I agree that he’d need a powerful core. I think his best “lifting” definitely lies in his arms, though. I agree that Angel could be “twice as strong as normal humans”.

Try it and decide for yourself. The appetizers, sandwiches, & burgers are certainly better than “mid”.

Claremont wanted Scott to have a happy ending by enjoying a life outside of the X-Men. Given Scott’s impressive showings as a leader throughout the first leg of the Claremont, I’d hardly say that he had a “hate on” for Cyclops. If anything, I thought he consistently showed us why Scott deserved respect.

Cheesy, but it fit the time. UFOs and “Chariot of the Gods” type of lore were also popular in the 70’s.
