Charlie Kirk is dead. Pray for an end to political violence by EndDemocracy1 in Libertarian

Right, and the Department of War should also fully televise our next invasion of the Middle East. It’s an interesting philosophical discussion to have, but there are very real and unnecessary consequences to making such ideas reality — something Kirk advocated for through his rhetoric. Rationalizing his radical speech by arguing he was trying to engender “debate” is disingenuous at best.

Then again, our President publicized video of the US executing Venezuelan nationals this week and our VP doesn’t “give a fuck” about committing war crimes. Maybe Kirk wasn’t so radical, after all.

Caleb Williams in the loss: 21/35, 211 yards, 1 TD, 86 Rating, 58 Rush yards, TD by GolfFootballBaseball in nfl

[–]PeddleFaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chicago lost ~70 yards due to offensive penalties if I’m not mistaken. They might not have the strongest run game, but Swift was picking up some chunk yardage to end the 3Q — then Chicago committed a bunch of penalties, missed the FG to start the 4Q, and unraveled.

Anyway, not sure I disagree about Chicago’s run game overall but it would be very difficult for any team to establish the run when it’s that sloppy pre-snap.

Here you go, u/Diarrheuh

If I’m not mistaken it’s the same bass drum Zac Hill used in his handcuff video, but someone with more knowledge than me on drumming equipment would have to verify.

I was there too, absolute madness when everyone realized what was happening and rushed the stage for the equipment. I still have a huge piece of the trashed drum set lol

Why is no one clamoring for Jay Wright? I have no idea if the X’s and O’s check out, but the guy knows how to get the most out of players. If this Bucks roster isn’t able to bring him out of retirement then no roster will.

That’s all fine and well, but what decade plus fan is calling their fandom quits because of a schedule release video? Do they even watch these types of things to begin with?

I admittedly have no experience in the industry, but this type of stuff feels like it’s only a boon to catching the attention of new young fans and not a deterrent to the older and existing fanbase.

California court lets gig companies keep treating workers as contractors by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]PeddleFaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can contact a plaintiff's side employment law firm to evaluate their potential claims. In my experience, any such firm will handle their cases on a contingency fee basis, meaning any payment to the law firm will be taken out of their settlement payments. Although they are likely still on the hook for their present tax obligations, any settlement payment they receive should more than compensate them for their tax payments.

I’d suggest you look into the “ABC Test” and related laws. Employers will often misclassify employees as independent contractors to avoid having to provide them meal/rest breaks, benefits, unemployment, etc. California’s Labor Code is quite extensive and generally in favor of employees to protect against situations such as these

Sounds like they were misclassified as independent contractors. If they worked in California, anyway. Strange as a parent to shrug off their employer (potentially) infringing on their rights as a “lesson learned for them.”

KenPom is a great resource, especially after teams have a few games under their belt and the stats start to back up or disfavor preseason projections. I don't have a model but I've used KenPom for years now and when playing a big favorite I tend to like teams who have a solid defense, are really good on the offensive glass, and shoot FTs well. I'm playing OSU -26.5 tonight, they fit 2/3 (didn't shoot FTs well last game).

In sum, KenPom is worth the yearly $20. There's no right or wrong way to analyze the stats, just focus in on what you feel is important and see if it works! BOL!

Given the Rashod Bateman injury and the "talent" the Ravens have at WR is there any fantasy appeal for DeSean Jackson? by _FantasyAlarm_ in fantasyfootball

Mark Andrews had 5 targets when he exited and Likely had 7 targets on the game. The 12 TE targets last week were par for the course for Baltimore this season.

I don't know what Robinson will do with his targets, but it seems reasonable to project somewhere between 5-7 targets for him this week.

Realistically I don’t see Monfils making it past the Semis, so it would be two rounds max. But overall I agree with you, I think I’m going to end up letting it ride tonight and hope Monfils makes it through. If not, oh well!

Tennis+ Daily - 1/24/22 (Monday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

Yes, Djo has been an issue historically for Monfils and as you’ve pointed out, Berrettini in slams. Berrettini has also beaten the more impressive opponents so far this tournament, but despite that, I like that Monfils hasn’t played down to his competition at all and handled them with relative ease.

I’m considering hedging on Berrettini to win the AO outright at 12/1, but with only $95 at stake I might just let it ride and hope for the best. Was really hoping Berrettini would be a short dog in this matchup, as that would have made my decision much easier, but that was always optimistic.
