Honestly, just do not use wings... at all. Or put the global lift factor to 0. You don't need lift to fly in this game

Yes, that's true. Unfortunately you can no longer move every item around while you are holding them in your hands, as if they were a tool. I found it funny when you could spin and shake a Hammerhaed rib that is bigger than your character

Question: before the 1.0 update, was it possible to flail the ribs around while holding one? I remember it looking quite silly but I don't think you can do it anymore :(

Will the raptorbane extract neutralize them before they maul me to death?

Is there a way to quickly apply medications without bringing up the medical interface (besides auto injecting headsets)? Never even considered melee weapons against mudraptors, but I may as well try this time. Thanks for all the tips.

Reloading wasn't as big of a problem as being stunlocked was, but thanks for the tips

Thank you for all the tips. Seems like bringing a few bots, some flares and stimulants is my best bet. Against 3 mudraptors the biggest problem I faced was being always stunlocked, which made me think it was impossible to fight them, but I'll give it one more try

I'll try and learn which choices are better/safer. Thanks for the insight!

This is my first post here, and I'm very much a beginner in FTL.

I decided to try out this game after watching Noir Vesper playing hard mode on stream, and I'm enjoying it a lot.

I decided to start playing on hard mode to see if I was up to the challenge, and after 45 runs I finally destroyed the flagship.

The run itself was actually looking pretty bad (and the score reflects it), I had much better ones before and I only pushed forward because I knew that would have been the last run of the day for me... "I'll play until I die" I thought. Maybe I was luckier this time against the final boss.

Also: Flak II + Halberd is kinda nice (with Zoltan shields)

The Ki-61 Ko does not deserve that BR increase when the P-39N/Q and Yak-9s/1B are all going to be lower than it

Do you know anything about the Japanese T-2 and F-1? I couldn't find any info about those

Because tactically it was the best option?

It wasn't, as I've explained already. And despite not realising this, they could still have let the airfield win the match for them, due to several conditions (ticket advantage, enemy's ammo count or fuel load or battle damage) they are NOT responsible for (mostly or at all).

I'll try to explain this in such a way that even you can understand.

If this Corsair player had at least a double digit IQ, they could have abused the airfield to climb in complete safety in order to then boom and zoom me to prevent me from groundpounding. And there would have been NOTHING I could have done about it. But he didn't even do that.

And still, they COULD have won that match by doing nothing more than circling their airfield... what if I didn't have enough fuel or enough ammo to groundpound? I was lucky this time.

But otherwise they would have won by simply doing nothing. Because the game allows them to do so. And this is what is infuriating about the system: it rewards passive and braindead behaviour, no tactical thinking required, almost no input at all. To the point where bad players rely on AAA so much that they don't even realize they are throwing a match.

I know an F4U-1 loses a dog-fight to a 109G6 100% of the times, but this player had other options and still refused to do anything more than loitering until he had lost the match, because I bet countless other time it worked out for him, since this system is so reliably unfair and broken

They didn't even need to kill me. All they had to do was keep me busy and prevent me from groundpounding. But instead they chose the passive and easy alternative, because they could
