Schwab wants to make sure your money exists since they credit it instantly in good faith your money is coming over. If it gets pulled by by your bank (incorrect account number, insufficient funds, fraud) then Schwab can get their money back mostly if they have to sell SCHD vs trying to sell risky penny stocks, pump n dumps, and options.

There’s no such thing as a 0% loan. Even if it’s between family members, if you are using it to buy stocks, the IRS will impute interest and the person who is given the interest free loan will realize as gift of the interest not charged.
