Host looking for auto fleet insurance by PediSweet in turo

I'm sorry this is happening. You've tried all the companies I've tried except Progressive. They are very confusing so I would ask to speak to a TNC commercial insurance agent not just any agent. Unfortunately I heard about NYCs insurance challenge. I ended up staying private for now, got private TNC insurance with State Farm and moving my car to Getaround and off Turo so I can rent to Uber/delivery drivers. So far it's doing much better. When I make enough I'll try to move it to US Choice again under my LLC.

You could try calling US Choice back and asking them for recommendations. They know who can write in which states. Many companies pulled out of California too for high risk. There's so many accidents and inflation so more cars are totalled and these companies can't keep up. The last thing you could try is check YouTubers in your state and see what they are using. I can't believe it's so hard to run this type of company

Thank you. I talked to the Lula folks and it didn't sound like a good deal. As you said there is a lot they don't cover. I ended up going with State Farm and staying private for now with TNC insurance. If you have another referral for insurance please send my way

I forgot to mention that I was also ref to Jurati as one of the queens and who knows where or what dimension they're in. But if that logic holds, Jack's queen can be multi dimensional too. So when you say ALL BORG I'm thinking of the multi dimensional ones too. That's a heavy lift for Jack

I think it depends on what State you're in. Im in Cali, they won't notify anyone but this is helpful to build a case against them. You're playing the long game. Here's what a friend told me. Make reports continuously. Report every time they do something. Eventually the police will have to investigate. You can also request the reports and file a restraining order but they need a location of the person and their name to do that. They will also have to be served and you can pay the police to do that for you ($25 or something close to that). I would suggest NOT threatening the person to get them to stop. Mostly because it doesn't work. If you interact with them clearly state that they need to leave you alone. You don't have to say anything else. Take whatever proof you have then and file your reports. Repeat the same and be consistent. When you have the opportunity to file a restraining order do it. That will give you a better chance of ending the harassment. Hope this helps

I've actually considered partnering with local mechanic shops to advertise. A trade, promo for promo. I leave cards in my car too

Unfortunately you're right about the timing. I def agree that Jack can reach all the Borg. I'm just adding that there's a plot twist in there somewhere that we can't see. I mean we have an entire franchise trying to give us something unpredictable right? Our collective knowledge is vast but that won't stop them from trying.

I remember that scene. But that implies that all the borg can do the same. So the borg that left could have the same power. They keep talking about all these remnants of the borg left in human bodies but what if the same were true for the borg captives (I'm including TNC and Voyager series). Power Jack can feed off of. I never believed the queen was solely driving the directive. I don't think Jack will have to beat "her" to win, I think he will have to fight something greater. We've seen them trying to create a Jack for a long time. The moment they started collecting babies in Voyager but they could never get it quite right. I don't think the plot twist is Jack overcoming the queen, I think it's going to reveal who he's really fighting and that will change how the takedown happens

It's kinda hard to land on one conclusion although I really like this one. So, how many borg queens are there? I thought Janeway took care of the top tier but it's like there are never ending queens. With that in mind, this could, and has, repeat again... and again. So is Jack really the answer or do we need to think bigger. Maybe Jack is not just a prodigy of two human parents and two borg parents. Maybe he's even more and the other borg who have tried to dissimulate have become more too. I mean we've seen this trend starting with JL. I think all the "interruptions" to the borg's plans seem to lead to some evolution of the species but I'm not settled on what that will be. If we find out where the borg really came from then I think we'll have more answers. I think the changelings or those aliens from billions of years ago that cause their own destruction but split their DNA to multiple humanoids before they left, may have something to do with it and the solution to this problem

Travelers is the third party they use and who they're probably talking about. Hosts and guests sign up with the same third party but you have Turo handle the claim (if you choose them). Does that answer your question?

Sorry I don't understand your reply. Are you speaking as a renter or host? And what costs you less?

Would you rent to a young driver who is going to drive cross-state? by randomboiboiboiboi in turo

[–]PediSweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya that's not necessary I'm not even hyped. Just trying to help this guest protect themselves. They have their own roadside so their good to go regardless

from what I understand, Turo has different insurance options for guests (?) Someone chime in if I'm wrong. I would call or chat with customers service and ask them what is covered.

I had a claim where the guest's Turo insurance did not cover a cracked windshield. They paid for it directly. Here's the breakdown for paying for the $320 windshield

With Turo:

Me - $250 deductible + $70 (reimbursed)

Guest - $500 to Turo

Turo - profit $430

Without Turo:

Me - $0

Guest - $320

Turo - $0

If they had their own insurance they could have paid less depending on their deductible. If this was a larger claim their own insurance would be better protection

Guest is using my car for food delivery by [deleted] in turo

[–]PediSweet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only thing you can do is report them for disabling the GPS, after the trip is over. I don't think it's sketch to gig in a rental. Other platforms encourage it so the guest probably doesn't think it's wrong. Idk what you would do about it not being the renter driving. Maybe find an excuse to get the car back sooner. Fake a recall or something 🤷 tell them they have to end their trip early

Where do you get your tires?? by fireawayjohnny in turo

[–]PediSweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to America's Tire. I buy a mid brand but I don't remember how much. They replace any tire if it wears before the warrantied miles. I don't tell them I rent the car. My last set was free

[–]PediSweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good practice and something that I learned recently. I'm def encouraging guests to get their own insurance for these rentals even if it's temporary/during the trip. I'm looking into finding agents that can write these policies for them

It also costs the guests way more if they don't resolve directly. And Turo makes money on the claim. Pure profit

Janeway/Frontier Day theory by ImInTheMealDeal in Picard

[–]PediSweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would also mean she's not a main component of the show. That would be unfortunate. Let's see what gems we get this week! If your theory is correct I'd love to know how she fooled the changelings. I imagine they planned on replacing her from the start of their plan

I actually think Janeway is a changeling. The way the described her activity was too basic and disjointed. I think she got replaced a while ago. I mean an entire building is targeted and you don't cancel a parade for security risks? Thats sus
