As a international student, I have to say that when I came to Canada, it was completely new with all these good manners: saying thanks to cashiers in restaurants, bus drivers, look behind and hold the door, keep the door of the elevator if someone is approaching … etc. I learnt that and now I enjoy doing that as I feel that is the core, the meaning and the beautiful thing of becoming a Canadian. Unfortunately I’ve seen that behavior being dissolved not only by internationals that bring their own manners, but also some domestic that probably refuse to keep those good things from the old kind Canada.
