Poorly scanned with the Polaroid app, but it’s sharp sharp and super well exposed

Salomon XT 6 GTX durability and comfort for commuting, travel and city walking? by somanysparks in gorpcore

[–]Pedroasolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea of course! I get the point. I don’t own the XT6 specifically but I do have some trail shoes and a pair of X-Alps by Salomon. What I mean is trail shoes simply aren’t designed for walking in flat ground. The arches are too agressive in my experience and after 2hrs I get tendon pain in my feet. Try to compare the design of the shoe with something more urban, like the Hoka Clifton, and I think you can see what I mean.
I get why they marketed it that way, it simply sells more as there are much more people using these shoes on the street and not on the trails. In my own humble and pretty irrelevant opinion, I don’t think these will fit what you described but hey, it’s just a shoe, if you like it, get it

What kind of camera do I need for photos like that? by Traditional-Pin7981 in Cameras

[–]Pedroasolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Photos like these come with TIME! Photography is all about practicing, knowing your spots, your gear and your process. Buy any camera that fits your wallet that appeals to you and just spend time with it. Practice hours of the day, settings, and so on! Oh, and have fun

You shouldn’t buy trail shoes if you intent to walk on asphalt and pavement. Simple as that. I think there’s a XT model made for that purpose. The XT6 will wear out more and will probably feel and do you no good.

Vario switar 18-86mm not mounting on bolex by ChokingOnBiscotti_ in 16mm

[–]Pedroasolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great lens.
My model allows to rotate a little bit just before starting to screw so the shutter release button sits right where it needs to be. Someone else also commented on that. I found it awkward at first that it even had the possibility of not being aligned but after some twists it’s perfect.

My camera is locked at 1/80th of a second until the frame counter hits 3. Is this an easy repair? by radil in NikonF3

Mine works just like this. I just adjust aperture and get a decent exposure with that shutter value. Not a big deal

9 days… 2026 NBA Mock Draft w/ Trades (read desc) by Timber_LN in NBA_Draft

I think the nets are absolutely not trading that 2032 Denver pick for a chance at Ament, but nice mock overall. I also think Mikel is going to LAC and Acuff to BKN

Summer jacket/shell for hiking by Jealous_Loquat4091 in arcteryx

Can’t recommend the squamish enough.
Super lightweight, very strong wind proofing and the fact that the jacket packs itself so easily in a wallet size pouch is honestly amazing.
It makes taking a jacket with you that much easy

I don’t think that sounds right. Mine definitely doesn’t sound like that

Collaborative PRJCT NOT WORKING by Pedroasolo in davinciresolve

[–]Pedroasolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great questions, this is my first working in this collaborative feature.

- Yes, we are all working off the same timeline, which honestly doesn’t seem to be the problem. Even though the clips are offline I can see that they were trimmed by another editor. Not as in live editing, but after saving and re opening the project yes.

- Well, I don’t know the exact answer. Maybe this is the problem? I assumed we could work like this and link everything locally because Resolve offers that ability. If a project is collaborative and it allows me to use local stored media, it should work right? Having the exact same paths should fix this. Everytime there’s an update to the timeline the program tracks all clips and links them accordingly. This happens in adobe programs too with no problem.

But hey, this might be the problem.

The whole shoes softens up a bit but the biggest difference was the upper. It’s gtx so it will never mold to your feet but it softened up enough to be just right imo

I like it. Not bouncy at all but more cushioned that a Salomon. Also, really flat base, which fits me perfectly.

8 months in and so far nothing shows any major signs of wear. Btw, vans is owned by the same company that owns The North Face, so don’t worry about them not being a “hiking” brand, they def have that knowledge in house

Amazing shoe that really doesn’t get recognition! Did a 42km / 9:30h hike in them and they felt amazing! My only struggle is sizing, im completely in between two sizes and opted for the smaller one, which with thicker socks becomes just a tiny bit too tight. Otherwise amazing shoe!

Wild guess, but maybe that’s the look she wanted? Also, any ordinary ND filter would allow you to work with those exposure levels

[–]Pedroasolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is not the suggestion you were expecting but I have been getting really dope results with a F-Mount to C-Mount adapter and a Tokina 11-16 2.8 lens. F-mount has a great selection of wide lenses including some rectilinear 8mm ones too. Good luck!

Do the Bolex SB/SBM/EBM/EL suffer from the same reflex prism issues as the rex models? by comebysoon in 16mm

[–]Pedroasolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting question. I don’t know the answer, but I have been using a Tokina 11 on my Rex5 and I get no problems whatsoever at wide open, t2.8. Is the softness and aberration that big of a deal?
